I watch the Brewers with the Bally's streaming app on my Roku TV and don't have any comprehensive cable or satellite package.

Anyone have a good suggestion for a streaming platform to pick up just for the playoffs?

For the WC round you can pick up a free 7-day Fubo TV trial to get ESPN/ESPN2. If they make the NLDS I think that will be on TBS, I think that's on sling so you could switch to a Sling trial. Or I think you can get TBS with Hulu?

As far as saving money, eventually games will be broadcast on Fox for the WS. If all you're worried about is watching the Brewers then cable channels will get you coverage up to the WS, possibly even including ALDS and ALCS games if they are simulcast on FS1, which it looks like they will be? But the WS is Fox only.

Sling would be ideal except you can't expect them to have a local Fox channel unless you live in Milwaukee. But if you lived there you could get a cheap digital antenna and get an over the air signal just as easily. If you are outside Milwaukee though (or outside Green Bay, Madison etc.) the digital antenna option becomes trickier. I'm in the Fond du Lac/Oshkosh area and I could never get a Fox station on the digital antenna, from Green Bay or Milwaukee.

Sling would cover all the cable stations though and I thought I saw that they had a deal going for half price on an Orange and Blue package for your first month, so something around 27 bucks. Maybe save that Fubo 7 day free trial for use during the WS and hope it doesn't go to game 6 or 7 lol. Or find a friend or bar for games 6 & 7.

That's all if you're trying to save money and just have a subscription for 1 month. If you're willing to just get the 2 months and cost isn't an issue then just go with something like YouTube TV or Hulu with Live TV or Fubo. They all cost around 70ish bucks per month plus taxes etc. I've used YouTube TV and it's a really good service IMO.

Just visiting streamers websites I'm seeing these deals:

Sling Orange + Blue is $27.50 for 1st month, then would revert to $55 per month (no access to local Fox, ABC, NBC, CBS affiliates etc.)

Hulu w/ Live TV has a good deal going, Get Hulu + Live TV with Disney+ and ESPN+ for $49.99/mo for your first 3 months. Offer ends Oct 12. (honestly, the wording on their website is confusing, it might go to their regular price after Oct 12 regardless so I'd be careful there) Reg price is $77 per month.

YouTube TV is offering $54.99/mo for your first 3 months. Then $73 per month.

Fubo just has the week free trial and then regular price of $75 per month.

DirecTV Stream is offering $65 per month for first 3 months, then it goes to $75 per month.

Thanks very much for all the advice.  Looks like Sling will be the best bet as we're close enough to Milwaukee to get the local FOX station; I'll get them set up tomorrow.
