I know I'll use "hell" sometimes, but since Brewerfan is usually very concerned with its image, I thought I'd mention some concern for the site for it's ingame threads. I'm writing this because I just saw P.O.S. written, and I've seen other things like that where people think abbreviating or typing sh** or something is acceptable.

 

Just thought I'd bring this up for the sake of the image of this site

I read your post a couple of hours ago and it took me a good five minutes for it to dawn on me what P.O.S. meant!

 

I wouldn't advocate loosening terms of service in the in-game threads, but at least the questionable stuff is somewhat camouflaged. With over 700 posts in today's thread, people will have to work hard to find it.

 

Brian 'rebuked' someone the other day and provided a link to the FAQ (naming names, of course, but still being fairly polite). Unless things get worse, that's probably a reasonable way to go.

Yeah fellas, I know things slip sometimes, but i'm really going to have to start cracking down on repeat offenders. Yeah, we may be prudes or whatever, but we know how a successful fan forum is created... so please, out of respect for the site and the staff, no cussing.... no asterisks to avoid cussing... no abbreviations for cussing.

 

I'm not going to start handing out bannings or anything, but please, don't make me waste time by having to email people privately.

I think a-p-p-l-e-t is a key word that EZBoard filters out.

Just sees Apple, then open and closed Italic tags, and the ton.

After reading a couple of articles about the Brewers in their paper, I thought maybe we were boycotting or something.

 

I can see where 'applet' could be a problem with ezBoard, though.
