Uribe had two down and then a 1-2 count. He has proceeded to hit a batter, walk a batter on four pitches, and was 2-0 on the next batter but got 2 K back. He's 2-2 on the next batter. Another sinker down and in over 100mph. He is missing this sinker in the same location - down and in the dirt. He gets the K swinging and missing. 2 K in the inning. Many a 100 mph plus sinker. Many a moment you didn't know where the ball was going. So is the Uribe experience. On to the 8th. Sounds lead 12-1.

Zamora with his 2nd hit of his Triple-A debut - a smacked liner to RF. That's two absolutely ripped singles. Good work, Freddy. Men on 1st and 2nd and two down. Top of the 9th.

Matt Wood can't corral a pop foul fly near the Sky Carp's dugout. Very catchable ball but he was at the top step and couldn't wrangle that ball.  It was in the glove and pooped out. AND, It's a costly drop, as those are. As the lead  runner scores from 2nd base on the next pitch on a deep fly to the wall in LF. The throw beat the runner. But, it looked like he slid in under the tag. Yep, the replay showed the same.

Let's call a spade a spade: if Wood catches that ball that hit never happens. Is what it is.

T-Rats lead 7-2. Man on 2nd base. Nobody down as Hernandez tries to get out of this without further harm. That is the first Sky Carp run since the 2nd inning. Meanwhile, Wood has now been party to both passed balls this inning. He just let a ball he caught somehow leave his glove and go toward the T-Rats dugout as the runner on 2nd is now on 3rd. Rough rough Wood inning - these happen for him from time-to-time for sure. Defense isn't consistent.

So, by my count this frame Wood has 2 Passed Balls and an E2. Yuck. I know they scored at least 1 PB and the E2.

That's two down, now, on the groundout to 3B. 7-3 T-Rats.

Getting sloppy here in the T-Rats top of the 8th. I've recounted Wood's rough inning. Now Adams gave us his classic charging 'trying to do too much' off-balance throw to 1B. I honestly don't think I've seen him throw this style of throw accurately once in his career. He sails the ball wide of the bag up the 1B line and down the RF foul line. Anyhow, Cruz buckles down and gets the K to end the inning. T-Rats lead 7-3.  On to the bottom of the 8th.

And, just like that it all fell apart in classic Complex style for Flores. Two down in the 3rd frame. He walks 3 straight. He gives up a grand slam. He gives up a double. He gives up a single. It's now 5-0 White Sox. Ruh roh.

And, RHP Stiven Cruz opens up his ninth frame with a free pass. Not what you're looking for up 4. He does get the pop up on the infield dirt for the first out.

Adams drops an infield pop fly but easily throws out the runner at 2nd base who was shadowed to the bag given it was an easy high pop fly. As I said, everything was gold defensively until the 8th. Then Wood unraveled. Now Adams has 2 errors in two frames. Ugly stuff. BUT, hey, they're leading 7-3 and that drop didn't hurt a thing.

That's a 7-3 T-Rats final as Cruz gets the K on a high change-up - swinging tip foul caught by Wood it appeared. They will remain, at least, 2.0 G ahead of Quad Cities who are tied 5-5 late.
