Joshua Quezada with a nice start for DSL Uno (currently leading 5 to 2 top of nine) throwing five scoreless with 3 H | 6 K. Jesus Made has also singled twice, walked twice, stolen two bags and scored a pair of runs while Juan Martinez is 3 for 4 with a double.

Frandy LaFond went deep for the second time this year for DSL Dos (currently tied 4 to 4 bottom of seven).

Jeez - just as DSL Brewers-2 manufactures a run in the bottom of the 8th inning (Jorge Quintana single, 2 SBs, error) to grab a 5-4 lead, DSL Brewers-1 blows a 6-2 advantage in the final inning and only sends it to extras by throwing out a runner at home.

21-year old RHP Patricio Aquino hasn’t started in 2 months, but has been getting consistent long relief work for High-A Wisconsin, who lead their series at Beloit 2-1. INF Jadher Areinamo is out of the lineup after exiting yesterday’s game early. SS Eduardo Garcia’s hitting streak is 8 games.

Rough game for Brett Wichrowski: 4 runs in the 2nd inning, 3 in the 5th inning. At least Darrien Miller has homered:

RHP Morris Austin entered with 2 outs in the 4th inning to help Josh Knoth strand the bases loaded (Carolina trailed 3-2) before the Mudcats erupted for a 5-run 6th inning.

LF Luis Castillo is 3-for-3 with 4 RBIs, needing only a triple for the cycle.

Wisconsin has mustered 6 singles by 6 different players thru 6 innings, which has been enough to come back from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits to tie the game 3-3. We’ve drawn zero walks to this point, but stolen 3 bases.

They’re into the 7th inning at Beloit, with Ramon Rodriguez, Jheremy Vargas (1-for-2, 18th stolen base) and Eduarqui Fernandez due up.

Patricio Aquino (3.2 IP), Tyler Wehrle (1.2 IP) and Aidan Maldonado (0.2 IP) have handled duties thus far.

Three extra-base hits (Chris Roller RBI triple, Vinny Capra double, Joey Wiemer 2-run double) helped Nashville build an early 5-1 lead behind solid work from DL Hall.

Then the Sounds added 4 more runs in the 5th inning on 3 singles and 3 walks to blow open the game: Nashville 9, Charlotte 1.

Wiemer’s reached base via 3 walks as well.

Singles from Jheremy Vargas and Eduardo Garcia have gone for naught in the 7th and 8th innings for Wisconsin (key K by Eduarqui Fernandez with runners on 2nd and 3rd, 1 out in 7th).

Aidan Maldonado has thrown 1.2 scoreless IP thus far and is coming out to start the bottom of the 8th inning in Beloit, game tied 3-3.

Aidan Maldonado walked the first 2 batters in the bottom of the 8th inning, with one eventually scoring on a sac fly.

T-Rats trail 4-3, with Felix Valerio, Tayden Hall and Ramon Rodriguez due up in the 9th.

I’m assuming that Matt Wood is the only bat really available on the bench.

Where are Cooper Pratt and Yhoswar Garcia when you need them? (still in Carolina)

Felix Valerio tries a leadoff bunt (foul), then singles to center. Tayden Hall is hit-by-pitch. The T-Rats have 2 aboard with nobody out, trailing 4-3 in the top of the 9th. C’mon Wisconsin!

We’ve got Ramon Rodriguez, Jheremy Vargas and Eduarqui Fernandez up next.

Ramon Rodriguez’s single to right scored Valerio, but Hall was throw out trying to go 1st to 3rd. They made the opposing pitcher work (Fernandez walk, Lara fouling off pitches), but only generated the one run.

Wisconsin and Beloit are tied 4-4, heading to the bottom of the 9th with Yerlin Rodriguez coming in to try to send it to extras.

Yerlin Rodriguez follows up his most dominant inning of the season by giving up a walkoff HR to the first hitter he saw tonight.

The first batter (Mark Coley II) against Rodriguez extended the at-bat to a full count, then homered for the walk-off. Wisconsin falls 5-4. Series tied 2-2.

Lovely. Mudcats and Sounds the darlings of the night. Not the best pitching performance \s overall.
