  1. Hancock has a pretty huge dropoff in underlying numbers home/away. Normally I wouldn't read too much into these type of stats but Seattle is the most pitcher friendly park in MLB. Home - 3.50 FIP, 3.30 xFIP, 3.49 xERA, 26% K-rate, 5% BB-rate Away - 4.58 FIP, 4.61 xFIP, 4.65 xERA, 18% K-rate, 6% BB-rate
  2. To this point the Brewers have only officially retired the jersey numbers of players that made the HOF. Considering Yelich is very unlikely to make the HOF, I'd guess he goes the way of Gantner and Braun where the number is basically retired without officially being retired.
  3. Brewers are amazingly run pretty much at every level but honestly I don't think anyone in the organization is doing it like the social media team. They are simply levels above anyone other social media team I have seen. Whenever they put out new content, it's an automatic that I'm going to watch.
  4. Will he actually be on the 40 man come ST next year? He's out of options now and is coming off another pretty underwhelming season in AAA
  5. The more I've thought about it, I think Bauers signs the QO unless he and his agent have strong indications that punishments for signing a qualified player will be removed in the next CBA. As it currently stands one of the biggest market teams would need to give up their 2nd and 5th highest picks plus $1M in IFA bonus pool to sign Bauers. Bauers had an amazing 2026 season and end to his 2025 season but this is still a guy with a very limited track record of being a high level player and he's 31.
  6. Contreras wasn't even close to a finalist. He graded out as a fringe Top 10 defensive catcher in the NL this year
  7. Pretty good for a DH!
  8. Did they introduce all the players at the rally or just the ones who spoke?
  9. Why should those things not be considered part of the pie? Would those things exist if it wasn't for the players and the games? Certainly not but this is where the subject gets messy. You can't accredit all of that revenue to the players and they will never agree on what portion of that revenue is accredited to players.
  10. The owners aren't taking that position to level the playing field. The owners are taking that position because they want costs to be much more fixed and planned to help boost franchise valuations. There's never going to be a salary cap because the owners and players will never agree to what constitutes baseball revenue especially so with the popularity of mixed-use developments around stadiums likely to continue growing.
  11. Agreed my only thing is I'm going to call it the JoJo Romero trade not the Dustin May trade like we all originally considered it.
  12. I just don't think Joey can handle the pressure of the playoffs. He's been so bad every postseason for us. He's back to swinging at anything within a foot of the zone. He had two plays at 3B tonight both routine and both times he threw the ball in the dirt at 1B.
  13. He pitched once and looked awful in the inning plus he pitched.
  14. Yeah I really don't like the Hicks AB looking back at it. 5 straight sinkers all middle or away. Need to change it up whether that's a breaking ball or coming inside with a sinker. Can't throw 5 straight sinkers all to the same area and not expect to give up hard contact.
  15. Anyone else really dislike this strategy? Feel like 3 outs away from winning the WS with the tying run on 1B you should not be trying to pitch to contact.
  16. Honestly think I agree with that. Harrison I think is way more likely to get strikeouts there.
  17. Don't think I'd go that far but it definitely wasn't great. JoJo, Hall, and Megill should all be full go tomorrow. Ashby and Uribe both likely available for an inning. We are starting our SP on 4 days rest compared to Tampa's 3.
  18. Would have been much better off having that happen. Then you have a completely fresh Ashby for game 5.
  19. I truly think they win that game if Ortiz doesn't botch the most routine play you'll ever see at 3B.
  20. Feel like Murphy's short sighted pitching management earlier in the game came back to bite us in the 12th. Only using JoJo for 3 outs and only using Megill for 1 out both in tie game scenarios.
  21. He was released in July. Doesn't look like anyone else has picked him up
  22. From me. Members of the site can gift articles for others to read. You can share the link with others as well. Don't think it has a click limit but I think it has a time limit. I think the link is good for two weeks so through 10/28.
  23. Made on the day went 2-3 with that HR and 2 BB. He also had a throwing error defensively at SS.
  24. Hall also saved it by no letting it spiral further. Maybe the Brewers still get to 6 runs either way but that's a much different game entering the top of the 7th if it's 3-1 or 4-1 Dodgers.
  25. I'm linking a gift article link so even if you don't have a fangraphs subscription you can read it. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/so-just-how-pissed-off-is-pat-murphy/?gift=1bfa11474ebf69c1297876f9efa6eae5e11e4030
