1B Blake Burke remains the big story for AA Biloxi, delivering 10 HR and 31 RBIs in just 35 games since promotion. The Shuckers look to take a 3-1 series lead at Birmingham behind RHP KC Hunt (4.60 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, 9.2 K/9 in 115.1 IP).

Last night’s walk-off 2-run homer by Eric Haase was his first dinger since May 7. LF Tyler Black has a .968 OPS in his last 72 PAs (helped by a .462 BABIP). LHP Tucker Davidson (4 scoreless IP on Sunday) aims to lead AAA Nashville to a 3-1 home series lead over Gwinnett.

Don't look now but the Sounds have gained 2.5 G on first place Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. They've leap-frogged 2 teams in the process. Now only seven teams remain ahead of them in their 'improbable' quest for the One seed. They are 9 GB with 8 games remaining.

Looks like KC Hunt is ready for the playoffs: 1 hit and 1 walk allowed in 6 innings. Too bad we lost 2-1. Made and Adams didn’t have any plate appearances.

Tucker Davidson had respectable stats in Korea (even if they opted to replace him) and tossed 6.2 scoreless innings with no walks and 3 singles allowed on Friday, helping Nashville win 3-0 despite going 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position. I would guess he’ll remain in the organization next year, though the peak velocity of 91.4mph may limit his chance to return to MLB, unfortunately.
