T-Rats fell short 5-4. Fischer K'ed after some monstrous hacks. Adamczewski had an infield single. Pena messed up and should have been out at 3B, but the ball fell out of the tagging glove. With one out and men on the corners and down one, Bitonti struck out looking on a heater down the pipe. That's 10 push-ups, kid. Not ideal. Dickinson grounded out to end it.

Really excited for Dorchies. Very Letsonian trajectory.

Ethan Dorchies hasn't been above 92 today from the readings I happened to see. That, like Bryce Meccage, is a bit down from what we saw during their ST innings and at the Rising Stars tournament. It's cold. It's fine.

Just noticed that pretty much everyone left after G1. Very sparse crowd.

Tayden Hall, who came in for Adamczewski for some unknown reason, put one off the top of the wall but was then nailed at 2B trying for a double.

Tayden is squarely on the late-bloomer timeline. Toby Hall's son. Even here, a dude who has essentially stalled in every way, has a few traits to work with.

And now Braylon Payne is leaving the game. He can barely walk off the field. Something is up with the left leg. It didn't happen in game play - he was running out to CF to play defense between innings.

Nick Stanley opted to put Daniel Dickinson at SS and moved Daniel Guilarte to CF. I wondered in the 2026 T-Rat thread if Dickinson would get some innings at SS. Would be very on brand for the Brewers to move a dude back up the defensive spectrum to squeeze extra value.

That said, why on Earth not put Luis Pena back in? Now I'm wondering if he is okay - lordy.

Over 600 days since his last outing, Enniel Cortez was fantastic tonight. Wasn't able to watch much but he went 3 scoreless. Still 19 for a month.

According to the man himself, just a cramp in his calf.  Everyone can take a deep breath!

That was a fun Low-A game but Wilson fell short. Down one with Handelfry Encarnacion on 2B after a gapped double, Jose Anderson had a pretty good at-bat but caught two pretty tough calls on pitches either right on the corner or off the plate. He struck out looking (0-5 5 K's). He did not agree with either called strike in the last at-bat and I get it. Tough ones and tough day.

Made looks entirely overmatched to start the year

He hit .310 in big league games this spring (9-29) as an 18-year-old.  I think he’ll be okay.

Never said he wouldn't. I watched every at bat and he did not look comfortable in any of them until yesterday.
