  1. As I mentioned the day after the incident, whether it was simply dehydration/overheating or whatever, the situation had escalated to a very serious place and an extended absence was certainly a possibility if not imminent. Peña is doing fine, but the organization is going to do everything in its power to figure out if there is a deeper issue, how to address it, and ensure that this sort of thing does not happen again. It’s just out of an abundance of caution for a 19-year-old’s life, not just his playing career.
  2. Unfortunately, Tommy John surgery for Lin. The right-hander will resume light throwing in November and should make his stateside debut in the first half of 2027.
  3. Nothing too noteworthy, but he is very close to a rehab assignment. It’s been a slow and steady buildup from his first bullpen sessions throwing max effort in January as Knoth did not throw live to hitters until April 2. No setbacks that I’m aware of, just the organization being careful with him.
  4. 2B Moises Polanco is a late addition to the ACL Brewers roster, arriving today in Arizona.
  5. 2B Moises Polanco is a late addition to the ACL Brewers roster, arriving today in Arizona.
  6. Yes, Cairone is expected to be ready at some point during the ACL season. He is looking to make his pro debut sometime late May, early June.
  7. Dubanewicz has been moved up to Opening Day for the ACL Brewers, May 2nd.
  8. Just a few reminders going off of OP’s comments: RHP Joshua Flores is out for the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in mid-March. RHP Sean Episcope will almost certainly make his pro debut on a rehab assignment with the team, but that will likely come later in the ACL season. CF Kenny Fenelon is stateside already (as another commenter eluded to) and, like Antúnez, the organization was never too concerned about the DSL results/struggles. They are still very high on the duo as well as Alexander Frías who is my personal favorite of the three to follow.
  9. Also posted in the injury thread- C Kevin Garcia heads to Wilson tomorrow and he will be joined by RHP Jacob Morrison who is expected to fill the TBD on the list of Warbirds probable starters that was posted today.
  10. Garcia heads to Wilson tomorrow and he will be joined by RHP Jacob Morrison who is expected to fill the TBD on the list of Warbirds probable starters that was posted today.
  11. Broughton has been healthy and full go since last September from everything I’ve heard. There was actually a chance that he was going to make his pro debut late last year, but they are taking things slow with him. The organization just opted to start him off in the Arizona Complex League and so he should be with the ACL team when they start their season the first week of May. I expected him to head straight to Wilson, but I guess I should’ve tempered my expectations a little especially coming back from injury.
  12. This right here, but the initial lack of response to sternal rubs *if that is indeed the case* is extremely alarming. If you are anywhere remotely close to conscious, you will respond. Working closely with ATs in my current and past positions, a lack of response indicates a severe compromise in brain function and has to be treated as a life-threatening emergency. I have no doubt that Peña is going to be okay given the updates I’ve heard, but an extended absence is still a possibility in my personal opinion.
  13. I don’t know what happened nor do I have specifics that I can share about his current status, but I have heard from multiple individuals in the Timber Rattlers clubhouse that, as of midnight tonight, Peña is stable and responsive.
  14. Garcia has been participating in extended spring training games and expects to be added to the Warbirds roster a week from today if all goes to plan.
  15. LHP Frank Cairone has officially been cleared for a return to full baseball activity and is heading to Arizona this weekend.
  16. RHP Jayden Dubanewicz will begin his 2026 season on a rehab assignment with the ACL squad. His first outing is scheduled for May 5.
  17. I can say that Hernández is healthy; the development list cannot be used for injuries, even day-to-day situations. Unfortunately, that’s all I have to share at this point. As for Jacob Morrison, he was removed from Milwaukee’s Spring Breakout roster a few weeks ago after experiencing elbow soreness. He was shut down temporarily, but has since resumed throwing and has started to build back up.
  18. Garcia’s progress was slower than originally anticipated, but he is nearing a return and is currently taking part in extended spring training games.
  19. He hit .310 in big league games this spring (9-29) as an 18-year-old. I think he’ll be okay.
  20. CF Braylon Payne exited the second game of today’s doubleheader with a calf cramp. He should be back in the lineup tomorrow.
  21. According to the man himself, just a cramp in his calf. Everyone can take a deep breath!
  22. Just posted this in the Minor League Pre-Season Games thread as well, but RHP Diustin Mayorquin, LHP Joan Pena, RHP Bryan Regalado, and RHP Johandry Ramirez all arrived stateside yesterday ahead of the Arizona Complex League season.
  23. In addition to these four and Isais Chavez, the latest batch of players from the ‘25 international class arrived stateside yesterday. RHP Diustin Mayorquin, LHP Joan Pena, and RHP Bryan Regalado are now in Arizona to prepare for the ‘26 ACL season.
  24. Hamstring strain looking to join A+ Wisconsin by the end of April
  25. I very, very rarely post anything about my personal opinions, but I had to add to this conversation that I find Damon Keith a fascinating player to watch this season. Big power, plus arm, good exit velos and bat speed. I would not be surprised at all if he’s one of the guys that Milwaukee is able to take to the next level.
