  1. My update from mid-May: ”Elbow inflammation for Meccage. It seems as though he avoided anything too serious, but he’s looking at a return to the mound in a month or two.” The right-hander has been back at the Arizona complex since that time.
  2. From July 3rd game thread: ”Not only did this impressive lineup (still minus 1B Blake Burke, nursing a lower body injury with an exact nature and severity to be determined)” Burke is feeling good and expects to be back in the lineup soon, possibly even tomorrow (technically today at this point) or Tuesday.
  3. Smith is about halfway through his mound progression as he continues to rehab from surgery. It’s still unknown when he will return to game action, but the towering lefty is holding out hope that he will make an appearance with an affiliate before the end of the season.
  4. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any improvement the past couple of weeks and so the organization opted to shut the southpaw down for now. At this point, it doesn’t appear that Martinez will return to the mound in 2026, but the belief is that he will not require surgery.
  5. SS Diego Frontado is dealing with a minor groin strain and is expected to return to the field next weekend.
  6. 3B Juan Martinez is being promoted to Single-A Wilson and will be joining the team tomorrow.
  7. Both have progressed slower than originally hoped. I’m working on getting more specific info that I can share with you.
  8. It is his hamstring again. Don’t know the path forward yet outside of the fact that the hope is to avoid an IL stint, of course. If it persists, however, it could be necessary to let it fully heal.
  9. The decision has been made that Tobias will require Tommy John surgery. The right-hander will look to return to the mound sometime late in the second half of 2027.
  10. Our old friend, longtime Brewers farmhand RHP Harold Chirino has been terribly impacted by the recent earthquakes in Venezuela. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. For those that are able, donations are being accepted for his wife’s funeral expenses as well as his son’s medical bills. Information on how to donate can be found on his Instagram page.
  11. I will check in on Tobias and find out what the situation is. As for Chavez, here is my update from May in the transaction thread: ”C Isaís Chavez was slated to make his stateside debut in 2026, but he was placed on the restricted list just before the start of the ACL campaign. For some added context, it is not a visa issue for Chavez, and the hope is that he will still be able to take the field at some point this season.” As for Colmenarez, he was released late in the ‘25 season. For whatever reason, this transaction has not showed up on his MiLB/MLB pages.
  12. The young southpaw’s pro debut has been moved up a day, now set for Thursday, July 2nd.
  13. Hamstring injury that shouldn’t (hopefully) even require an IL stint, so no they won’t shelve him.
  14. Cairone has been tentatively scheduled to make his professional debut on July 3rd for the ACL Brewers.
  15. Nothing serious, just the organization being cautious with some soreness. The hope is for Martinez to be back on the mound within two weeks.
  16. OF Alexander Frías is being promoted to A Wilson. No one else is being promoted at this time, but Juan Martinez shouldn’t be too far behind.
  17. Dinges is in the midst of his throwing program and has been taking things slowly. He was throwing from 90 feet, 35 throws at high intensity today and feels great. According to the man himself, he expects to be back behind the plate in the near future.
  18. Hostetler is expected to begin throwing live to hitters for the first time since surgery in mid-July. The hope is for him to return to game action at some point in August if all continues to progress well for the right-hander.
  19. Rijo has already made it to the Brewers Arizona complex and so that move should be coming very soon as he is ready to join the ACL squad.
  20. “I can say that Hernández is healthy; the development list cannot be used for injuries, even day-to-day situations. Unfortunately, that’s all I have to share at this point.” (My update from April 10 in the injury thread) Hernández is still at home in Nicaragua as the articles elude to. He is doing well and is eager to pitch again, but does not know when or where that will be.
  21. No injury- perhaps look towards Cooper Pratt’s absence from 3/29-4/5 as a similar situation? (purely speculation)
  22. I will look into that, but I probably should have clarified much earlier that if a player has been out less than a week and has not been placed on the IL, that either means it’s just something that is day-to-day or the organization simply doesn’t know severity/what the plan is yet so I typically won’t have much info at this point in time either way.
  23. Following up on this: Payne will return to the lineup on Wednesday.
  24. LHP Frank Cairone will begin throwing live to hitters starting next week and is expected to make his professional debut towards the end of the month.
  25. C Isaís Chavez was slated to make his stateside debut in 2026, but he was placed on the restricted list just before the start of the ACL campaign. For some added context, it is not a visa issue for Chavez, and the hope is that he will still be able to take the field at some point this season.
