The Milwaukee Brewers are running it back with the same 26-player roster they opened the postseason with.

There were no changes to the Brewers' roster for the NL Championship Series, which begins Sunday with Game 1 at American Family Field (7:08 p.m., Fox). The Brewers are sending right-hander Jacob Misiorowski to the mound against Dodgers left-hander Tarik Skubal.

That means an even split of position players and pitchers (13-13) for the best-of-seven.

No injuries popped up during the best-of-five NL Division Series against the San Diego Padres, which the Brewers won 3-1. The Brewers used all 13 position players and 10 of their pitchers in the Padres series. The three pitchers who didn't see action in the NLDS were left-handers Kyle Harrison and Shane Drohan and right-hander Chad Patrick.

The Dodgers made just one change to their roster for the NLCS. They added left-hander Justin Wrobleski to the pitching staff and took infielder Hyeseong Kim off. Wrobleski, who has started this season, can go multiple innings out of the bullpen.

Also, the umpires for the NLCS were announced. Here is how the umps line up for Game 1: Edwin Moscoso behind the plate, crew chief Mark Wegner at first, Ryan Additon at second, Alan Porter at third, David Rackley in left field and John Tumpane in right field. Chris Segal sits out Game 1 but will be behind the plate for Game 2.

We're now 7 games into this journey. We're 6-1. We haven't used Patrick, Harrison, or Drohan.

Assuming we close this out, two thoughts.

1. If Woody is truly healthy and we're not going to use any of these guys, we might as well throw him on the roster.

2. I don't think they'll do it, but we're wasting roster spots in the bullpen right now and it feels like Naylor could be added at the expense of one of these guys so we can use Sanchez more against LHP

You can't plan for everything to go this perfectly though.  A few of these games could've gone a different direction and we need them to eat the innings.  Say last night, if Hall gives up a hit and they get down 3-4 runs or whatever it would've been.  Well, then you're using the guys listed to keep everyone else fresh for today.  I know Patrick was up earlier in the game too.  And tonight, its possible Hall and Uribe are both  marked as out tonight. All of a sudden you need those guys

In addition, I don't see how having Lockridge sit the bench would be any different than these Ps being ready if needed.   The extra C is the only debate, so we're talking about 1-2 PAs extra for Sanchez vs the insurance of having fresh arms.  Look what happened to the Pads vs us and what Cle/Sox went through last series, you need the arms if needed.

In a weird way, not having Naylor might've won last night's game. Perhaps they Sanchez and his good splits over Bauer last night if they didn't have to save their C
