    Sal can be on the roster as a RF/defensive replacement I guess, but I'm not sure I'd rate his defense better than any of our other OFs besides Chourio who you're not gonna pull. Pinch runner maybe.

    Yeah, the sweep sucked, but the pitching mostly held up. And I have way more belief in our offense this year to claw some runs togther.

    And Luzardo should be back. They have a great rotation for a playoff series. I know we don't want to risk losing to the Cubs in the playoffs, but matchup wise I think they're the best match for us. Just like last year.

    Are week long slumps a Chourio streaky thing or just a baseball thing and we notice it more because otherwise his production is so outstanding? I lean the latter.

    Yep. I don't mind it, I guess. He knows how everyone's arm is feeling and I do think there's something to be said for not giving PHI an extended look at our best arms.

    Chourio has batted .300 in three of the last four months, with one prolonged slump in July. I don't think this is true. He's been consistently good, just one bad month.

    That's dumb, though. He's on the roster and we have to pay him. We don't have to compound the mistake and play him when there are better options

    Chourio had one bad month, three really good ones, and an average first month after returning from injury. Turing is on fire or ice, which makes a bit of sense since he overhauled his approach only a year ago.

    On cue. Two deep fly balls caught in the 5 outs he got. Yet, 1.2 scoreless innings again.

    Gives up more deep fly balls than I’d like and my gut says he’s been a little lucky, but cannot argue with the numbers and I trust him (mostly)
