Well Santana IS efficient, which Maddux and Yost preach. But to give up on Turnbow wouldn't be a prudent decision, considering he has had A LOT of success. He's been a bit down as of late, but he's been used sporadically. When we begin to win consistently, and thus, he begins to pitch consistently, we'll be more than fine.

I cashed in early and didn't see the 9th. So, what I am gathering is Turnbow worked into trouble and Santana had to get the last two outs. Bases ended up being loaded and the last out was a long fly to RF? Gee sorry I missed this!

Pretty much. Let's just say it was a tense couple seconds.

Turnbow needs to pitch more. This should now be clear to Yost that a guy with control issues can't go that many days without pitching in a game. Good decision by Yost to remove him for a guy that is throwing strikes. I could see us calling up Bennett to give us more depth in pen.

I think Turnbow will still be our closer he just had an off night. He can't have 4 days off and then work perfect, he needs to pitch every couple of days and if the Brewers are not getting him save chances that is a problem.
