Powell saying that Glover is throwing 92 or 94, depending on which of the two guns. Hardly the typical #5 starter's stuff

Well you could see that coming, even the Pitt announcers were commenting on how Glover was looking ripe to get hammered. Looks like we are going to have to get to their bullpen tonight. Too bad the hitting has gone into a shell since the first, Glover just isn't good enough to win a low scoring game like this.

Is a ground rule double the 4th TO? TO 3.5 maybe?

Nope, 'cause the defense could have caught it. The hit-by-pitch is True Outcome 3.5.

EDIT: 113 pitches? That's too many... no wonder he started struggling.

anybody see Lee's approach to that ball?

Yeah, he flashed a sweet 3 inch vertical leap. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

So... all you armchair managers out there... would you let a glorified longman go 110+ pitches in his first start of the year?

Also, point taken regarding the TOs... I think our old LF would have gotten to that one... just sayin'. That's the price we pay for having a legit RH bat in the middle of the lineup, I guess.

OUCH!

When getting hit by a line drive sends you airborne, that is a hard hit baseball. I just hope he's not going to be seriously injured.
