As for Helms, Branyan is sick AND they are considering a platoon, so shouldn't they play Wes against the tough lefties like Rueter.

I know the big plays get a lot of coverage, but it was cool to see Hardy execute a perfect hit and run.

 

I listened to the final few innings at work, and this play got me fired up more than any other one. I'm hoping this is the year we finally have a competent #8 hitter instead of the BS we've had hitting down there the previous few years.

actually, to spin that a different way...I see us as not having a #8 hitter in our opening day lineup. I fully expect Hardy to evolve into a 2-3 hitter, so it's a lot stronger than having a true 8 hitter
