Ginter?? Are you kidding?

edit: that's in response to ANOTHER HR, not the previous poster.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

It's obvious the Ginter is a career backup. I mean, the Astros didn't want him, so it's a no brainer.

Just like Santana.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

What you guys don't realize about Keith is that if he had played every day all year the other teams would have picked up on his weaknesses (and we know that big league pitchers NEVER make mistake pitches) and Keith would suck hardcore. He's really only suited to be a backup. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

If Keith had 500 ABs right now, he'd be hitting .225 with 9 homers. It's true, it's true.

RoCo that's brutal. Keith is one of the best fast ball hitters around. There are enough bad pitchers in MLB where he will get those straight heaters. 19 HR's in 377 AB's = 9 HR's in 500 AB's in your book?????

Ned Yost: Trying to be Grady Little since 2004.

Why even put Ben out there in the 7th? He pitched a heck of a good 6 innings against the best team in MLB.

To play Devil's advocate...

There was absolutely no reason to rest him...this was his last start of the year. Why not give him a chance to show his worth against one of the best hitters in all of baseball. It didn't work this time, but there really was nothing to lose. If you are worried about W/L's at this point, time to loosen up the tie a little bit.

I'll buy that to a certain extent, except this has happened OVER and OVER again (see Obermueller, Wes).

he's also shown this year to be as good at hitting breaking pitches as such current and former Brewers' greats as Jeffrey Hammonds, Marquis Grissom, Ronnie Belliard, Henry Blanco, Wes Helms, Bill Hall, Geoff Jenkins, and Chad Moeller. Strange, cause for 2.5 months he didn't get straight heaters, but struck out repeatedly on 3 consecutive breaking pitches away.

I completely agreed with Ned's decision to leave Hendrickson in to face Pujols. The outcome of these games mean nothing to the Brewers. The learning experience is much more important for a young pitcher and a team looking to the future. Hendrickson needs to learn how to pitch to tough pitchers in tough situations.

I thought Hendrickson did very well against a tough lineup. He seems to be making progress.

Roco,

MAIN pt with Keith is, HIS DEFENSE IS TERRIBLE!!

I love the dingers, but we need a GOOD defensive player at second. You win with defense, not solo home runs.

not solo home runs.

Ginter is so stupid for only hitting solo HR's.....

O..... wait.....

I'll ask the question again. Right now Ginter has an .812 OPS. How high WOULD it have to be to make up for his mediocre defense?

I swear, some of you guys would trot out a gold glove lineup and complain when they lose every game 3-0. You can have some unearned runs and still win. You can't win if you don't score, however.
