7/30/2004 - Brewers (Davis) v. Pirates (Burnett)

When Lyle says he needs a rest and so does Yost, why not rest him tonight vs a lefty? He is not driving the ball and they are throwing him more junk than ever. He pulls off of those low slow breaking balls and misses. He needs to drive those to left center and maybe he should take the rest of the weekend off. Not a coincidence imho that the slump corresponded with Overbay's slide. Rest him now!

Go Brewers!

Yes, especially since they havea viable back-up now in Branyan...a guy who can actually hit lefties from the left side.

Is it just me or is Jack Wilson really, really ugly?

If by ugly you mean really, really good and an absolute Brewer killer, then yeah, he's the ugliest.

That could have been terrible for the Brewers, but Burnett's blunder ended up moving Moeller to 3rd and Counsell to 2nd. Let's get some runs!

there's taht sinking feeling I get every year in my stomach when Jenkins is grimacing and shaking something...hope he's allright, because we are this close to having a starting outfield of Macgruder/Pods/Clark

Burnett just TOTALLY melted down there. He looked like a deer in the headlights.

Sweet.

I'm enjoying this, and I hope everyone else is too.

By the way, everyone in my living room was just standing up during the Overbay at bat, with hands arched overhead. I hope it helped.

That's neat...and on my end I think that was the only time I was ever that excited for Brady Clark!

Go Crew!

Chad Moeller gunning out Jason Bay attempting the steal? Doug Davis just striking out his "nemesis" Tony Alvarez? I love it...let's keep it up, Brewers!

First hit of the year for Davis!!!!!!!

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Doug Davis singled! There HAS to be something wrong! That raises Doug's batting average to .023 on the year.

Hey...

2 more hits, and he officially passes Gary Bennett!!!

Go Doug!
