What would it take to get him? Hes just about to turn 27 ( 3days), had about .350 OBP, has great speed. I personally would LOVE a player like Shane.

 

I went to the whole Philly series last year, and he was having much more fun with the fans during BP then anyone I've ever seen before.

I don't know why they'd move him now, he's cheap and effective.

I believe Rowand is a free agent so it would take a lot to get him from the Phillies.

And they traded the only other in-house CF in Michael Bourn to the Astros for Brad Lidge. And, as you noted, the guy is a total fan favorite, which may not preclude a player from being shopped and traded, it definitely makes it more difficult.
