He posted around a 3.80 Era w/ almost a strikeout an inning in 50 some innings last year. He is only 27 or 28. Is there any chance he could finally come through and be a dominating reliever? Why did the Rockies leave him off the playoff roster? Is he that bad.

Not a bad call. Other than his 9 inning stint with Florida, he's been very solid the past two seasons.

 

He was left off the playoff roster in part because of a sore neck.

He's a good "buy low, sell high" type. I'm surprised he did that well overall, as he was awful in FLA.
