Will Ohman and Omar Infante to ATL, Jose Ascanio to CHC

Another sharp move by Hendry getting a 22 year old power bullpen arm for two guys who were fringe roster guys. Edited March 3, 2008 by 1992casey

Ascanio's far from a top prospect, but he could certainly evolve into an above-average bullpen arm. I'd call it a wash, but maybe giving a slight edge to the Cubs. Infante's pretty lousy, and Ohman's pretty mediocre.

Ascanio clearly has the most upside of anyone in the deal (hence a 2 for 1) but this move just doesn't impress me all that much. What it does do for the Cubs which could be useful is to free up a roster spot in the process.

Jose Capellan was a once young power arm with uber upside as well

And that Atlanta knew something about him and were willing to give him up. Similarities?
