Wireless trouble

My wife's laptop has been struggling to maintain a connection lately. Often once every couple hours, it stops working, though both hers and mine says the connection is a-ok. Mine is hard wired and never struggles.

 

Yesterday and today, it's been needing to be rebooted every 15-30 minutes...ideas?

Have you moved it recently? If the laptop is too close to the wireless router you can lose the signal.

Has been working fine since the day I posted, but what exactly is a full power cycle?

Power cycling is basically disconnecting everything, waiting a minute and then reconnecting everything. The basic idea as I understand it is to remove any residual power by not only turning everything off, but by actually unplugging everything.

Is there some type of power saver setting on the laptop that may be shutting down the wireless card? I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I have seen things act strange because of power settings being set a certain way. Sorry, I can't be of more help.
