Because his grandchildren like Duke, that means Vitale's a big fan or something? Sure he probably likes them, but he always does stuff like that with the students. He was doing a Kansas game a few years ago, and gave Nick Collison a standing ovation and went on and on about him. Heck, Corso always puts on the mascot head of the team he picks to win, I don't think it means he loves them.

I just don't really mind enough to get bothered about it. Most every sports announcer we listen to (or at least that I listen to) is heavily biased, so I'm pretty used to it.

Even if he is biased, it has no outcome on the final of the game so I don't mind either. Dickie V is just a wild, easily excitable man.
