  1. A Jim Edmonds sighting! LaRussa is going for the jugular. ~Bill
  2. Boy, Carlos Lee sure gave that one a good effort. NOT. What is going on? This team is playing like it's September 16th and we're 30 games back, not April 16th and we're in first place. How 'bout some of that highly-touted motivatin', Nedley? ~Bill
  3. That was one of the most pathetic innings I've ever seen by the heart of a team's order. A weak grounder up the middle and a pair of weak rollers to first. Fear us, National League. ~Bill
  4. I think Doug Davis picked up Vampire disease from Victor Santos. ~Bill
  5. Rolen almost made an error. Too bad Damian Miller is almost as slow as Yadier Molina and Albert Pujols. Today's game is like a slow-moving version of last night's game. In other words, it sucks. ~Bill
  6. Well, the side angle replay showed that it was right at the knees. Carpenter's late movement makes everything look really, really low. ~Bill
  7. This strike zone is ridiculous. EDIT: Maybe not. ~Bill
  8. Daron just said that Moeller described last night as "an easy Ohfer." Do you think Moeller ever has difficulty with that? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ~Bill
  9. This just in: Pujols is better than you. ~Bill
  10. Chris Carpenter looks like Roy Halladay. Where is this movement coming from? Yikes. ~Bill
  11. Nice to see a pitcher get the bunt down, eh? They should make all of the Brewers starters watch a tape of that. ~Bill
  12. Cirillo deservedly got the error, but Lyle didn't even try to dig that one out. Yuck. ~Bill
  13. Did you know that Ned Yost had a good relationship with his catcher, Eddie Perez, last year? Me neither, but that's what Bill Schroeder just said. I know 2004 sucked, but it *did* happen, Bill. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ~Bill
  14. I'm very impressed with Lyle's plate discipline thus far in 2005. He really got away from that in the second half last year. The fact that he's taking close pitches and drawing walks is super encouraging. BTW, Bill Schroeder just said something interesting. He said that runners at first base should take their lead a bit in front of the base line 'cause it looks to the pitcher like your lead is smaller. ~Bill
  15. The Cardinals middle infield has almost zero range. Neither of them are bad defenders, per se, but they sure are going to give up a lot of seeing eye singles. ~Bill
  16. Brady Clark is really starting to get on my nerves. STOP MAKING OUTS, jerky. ~Bill
  17. Man, Scott Rolen looked absolutely terrible during that entire at-bat. Then he crushed one into the Brewers bullpen, and quickly jogged around the bases with his head down. It sure is hard to dislike him. ~Bill
  18. Branyan: shoulder tenderness, will probably rest tomorrow, too. Jenkins: flu. Bench: regrettable. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif ~Bill
  19. 2) I was TRYING to will Brady Clark not to steal 2nd when he was caught stealing. Apparently, I need to work on that. I wonder how many more lame steal attempts we'll have to endure before Nedley figures out that Brady Clark is not Scotty Po. 3) St. Louis Cardinals fans don't suck, and actually are pretty pleasant. I agree 100%... with all due respect to everyone else, Cardinals fans really are some of the best in baseball. No, actual cheerleaders with pompoms and spandex outfits. There were seven on top of each dugout doing dance routines during the seventh inning stretch. OK, that's just about the lamest thing ever. 1. Batman likes to make it his personal ajenda to rip Sutton Shcroeder Bainerd. Only when they deserve it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ~Bill
  20. That lacked funness. Apologies to those who paid money to see this one. You deserve a refund. Go get 'em tomorrow, fellas. ~Bill
  21. Ol' Man Remlinger coughs up the lead in the 8th... He must always be referred to as Mr. Greybeard, straight out of those lame Just For Men commercials with Keith Hernandez. At least something good happened today. ~Bill
  22. Mrs. Sheets = hott. Bob Brainerd = nott. ~Bill
  23. I miss Keith Ginter, but this game sure brings back memories of 2004. The bad 2004, not the good one. ~Bill
