  1. Winner in the home run inning, baby. I thought Ueck was gonna tease us again. Walkerbay = Homerbay. ~Bill
  2. Uecker you tease!!! Seriously. ~Bill
  3. Seven grounders and a homer. Wow. ~Bill
  4. Dave Ross? Wow. I guess when you throw it as hard as Turnbow does, that's going to happen sometimes. Argh. I still can't get over the tactical moves that the Brewers made in the previous half inning. Embarrassing, really. ~Bill
  5. Nedley's newfound "aggressiveness" just took this situation: - Runner at first, no outs, Spivey/Overbay/Lee coming up Into this: - No one on, two outs, Overbay up. Incredible. ~Bill
  6. The hit and run is the work of the devil. This is sooooo dumb. Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? ~Bill
  7. Or you could just have Spivey bunt. Dumbness. Why does Nedley like to give away outs all of a sudden? Let Spivey, Overbay, and Lee attempt to drive in the runner from first. If they can't do it, so be it... we don't deserve to win. "Aggressiveness" is apparently code for "making it harder to score." ~Bill
  8. Stealing is naughty. Please, Nedley, do not send Clark. ~Bill
  9. That turned out well, but I don't understand the move. Apparently Nedley sees Phelps as a LOOGY... guess we'll have to get used to that. ~Bill
  10. Bottalico looked awesome there. Good fastball, hard curve, and big slooooow curve. He sure looks like the real deal so far this year. ~Bill
  11. Redman is a stud... I can't believe he got up by himself, much less stayed in the game. Amazing. ~Bill
  12. Wow, I think Carlos just killed Mark Redman. That was not pretty. I hope he's okay. ~Bill
  13. Bob Brainerd should be classified as a controlled substance. Egads. ~Bill
  14. anybody see Lee's approach to that ball? Yeah, he flashed a sweet 3 inch vertical leap. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ~Bill
  15. Is a ground rule double the 4th TO? TO 3.5 maybe? Nope, 'cause the defense could have caught it. The hit-by-pitch is True Outcome 3.5. EDIT: 113 pitches? That's too many... no wonder he started struggling. ~Bill
  16. I agree, DHonks... good call. I want a pair. Here's the direct link to a big picture: oakley.com/cms/media/4/421f9f1369cca.png And there's some wonderful stuff about the M Frames here: oakley.com/brochures/eyewear/m_frame/ ~Bill
  17. They should make Daryle Ward pay for that foul poul. I think he put a hole in it. Jeebus. ~Bill
  18. Bottalico is up in the bullpen, FYI. ~Bill
  19. Glover seems to have a whole bunch of pitches: 90-93mph fastball that's pretty straight, although sometimes it sinks a bit; changeup that tails a bit away from left-handers; a hard slider that's probably his best pitch... about 80-88mph with some good downward bite; a cutter that looks almost exactly the same; and a bigger, slower curveball that he's thrown a couple times. He can miss bats if he throws strikes, but that's a big "if". His mechanics are a bit awkward but he actually looks pretty good. ~Bill
  20. Cannon. J.J. fielded that one kinda lazily just so he could show off the arm. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ~Bill
  21. G Love is running out of Special Sauce. (Take that, Bruce! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ) How did the Pirates get David Ross? The Dodgers got Jason Phillips from the Mets for Ishii and sent Ross to the Pirates for cash. ~Bill
  22. Dear Bill Schroeder, If the Pirates are not a "bad offensive club," then please point to an example of one. Thank you, ~Bill
  23. If that's a single (by Clark), Ben Grieve is a Gold Glove shortstop. Actually, Ward looks like he's lost some weight. Redman, on the other hand, appears to have gone on a all-carb diet during the off-season and is looking rather chunky. Anyway, nice work Junior. It's fun to pwnzor the Pirates. EDIT: The Bucs are putting on a defensive show tonight. And to think, there must be 500 people there to see it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ~Bill
  24. G-Love used some Special Sauce to get out of that inning. That's never going to get old. ~Bill
