  1. Unfortunately the same pitches are now strikes. What a joke.
  2. McGehee is just awful. I hate watching him at the plate. He watched two balls for strikes and then swings at a ball up and out of the zone. This guy needs to be gone ASAP.
  3. Let's get some runs boys. Madison has been very hittable today. Just need to take advantage and capitalize.
  4. Very nice throw by Lucroy there. Yuni literally didn't have to move his glove.
  5. These Giants fans are super annoying. None of those balls were strikes but they were oohing and ahhing like Braun was getting favors by the ump when he called them balls.
  6. He has walked twice in the last week, so almost 20% of his walks for the season have come in the last week. Yuni en fuego!!!
  7. True or not, Spaceballs was a PG rated movie so I would content anything in Spaceballs is ok for just about any audience and obviously not an obscene gesture.
  8. What again was the obscene gesture? http://www.sbnation.com/m...an-francisco-giants-fans This article sums it up succinctly and well.
  9. There was stuff with the fans in the Fla/Was brawl he started last year as well. He also has the incident where MLB pulled back the suspension for throwing a ball at a fan....... 2 incidents in his past with fans and as minor as this might be, this is now a 3rd incident that is getting attention. The guy needs to just ignore fans and focus on the game - let your game do the talking. You don't need to make the catch, say something to the fans, then gesture how many outs there are towards the fans............. then give them the F You sign............. then when they boo you, "conduct the orchestra" (see espn video).............. then jaw with them before you run off the field. Seriously, how can a Brewer fan NOT have a problem with him doing all that last night? I have no problem with it. He has done the "F You sign" if that's what you want to call it, before. Really found nothing wrong with it on my end. Who cares about conducting the orchestra or jawing. He's just playing along. None of it was done with maliciousness. He's just out there having fun in a "what else you got, you're not bugging me" sort of way. I will say he has a past, but he has done nothing this season to indicate that he has been anything other than a model citizen. He is still fiery and always will be, but maybe he has learned to channel that and where in the past he would have blown up now he can conduct a symphony.
  10. I was curious about that. What if Vogelsong plunks him in the 1st inning? Should Wolf hit someone next inning? Should Plush rush the mound? There really is no reason for them to hit him, so would either of those reactions be out of line should the Giants decide to do something uncalled for and hit Plush?
  11. I don't buy that Yuni is making anyone look bad. Total bases you can throw out because Yuni has 70 more AB's since Hart was out early in the season. RISP and clutch stats are largely the victim of sample size and random variation that have been overhyped by the media. He has a .945 OPS with someone on 3rd and 2 outs. You can find just about anything when you dive down into anything. Hart has been bad lately, but even over the last 28 days he has an OPS over .700. So in basically his worst month of the season, he has been better than Yuni's entire season.
  12. Screw the Giants fans and screw their media. The guy didn't do anything out of line. Even when they were on him post "gesture," all he did was nod his head and look back at them. He raised his hands to say, "yea bring it on." I don't have any problem with what he did. I can see how without seeing the replay some could think what he did was obscene, but if you look at the replay its obvious what he did.
  13. We don't know what the long term plan is. They may ride the k-rod/axford duo for a couple of weeks. Rest everyone else until August. At that point maybe he starts letting the starters go deeper. Like I said if they keep pitching like this it is hard not to save everyone else at the expense of two guys. It is a good problem to have to say the least because it means they are all pitching well. Very true. If that is the long term plan I will eat my words. To be perfectly honest I don't know that I can bring myself to give Ron credit for that yet. And it is a great problem to have that we are complaining about starters being pulled after 7 and then having to use Krod or Ax.
  14. Brewers win!!! Very nice. Guarantees a 5 win road trip and we are back in 1st!
  15. Ax looks filthy tonight. I love when is off speed stuff is on. Let's close them out here AX!!!
