  1. More tough luck for Greinke with that hot shot to the right side of the infield by Stubbs.
  2. Prince is going to homer to tie the game and ZG settles down and pitches 4 more with 12K's. I'm putting on the blue and gold glasses.
  3. I was watching the replay on Rickie's homerun and he wasn't even running hard until he got to 1st. Wheels man.
  4. Rickie getting his swing in line for the Derby. Come on Rick that would have been an out in the derby
  5. I'm not sure if McGehee would have made it. It was a tough play. Gamel sucks at 3rd and he is not a 3rd baseman. He hasn't worked on playing 3rd. I think that would have quite a bit to do with him not getting to a hard hit ball in the hole.
  6. No its on Melvin for forcing him to play a position that he hasn't played in forever. And its on Grienke for backing himself in to a corner. He hit a batter and walked another. Our defense is not good, but that ball to Gamel was a rocket. Range and misplaying balls have not been the issue
  7. Grienke shouldn't have loaded the bases with no one out. Maybe Gamel should make that play, but the guy hasn't played 3rd in forever. This roster construction is a frickin' joke. Play someone who can actually play 3rd. Maybe the guy in AAA with a .900+ OPS
  8. So how do we explain away this for Greinke? Does anyone really think this is the guy we thought we were getting.
  9. I'll echo that Rillo rocks. "Second hitter in a row he has in a 3-2 count. Pitch count gets eaten up pretty quick like that."
  10. Neither moved because they weren't getting to it. No one gets that ball. They weren't screamers but it wasn't a dribbler. They were solid singles
  11. Except that wasn't the case. All 3 ground balls were hard hit and would have been singles with any defense out there. I get that people want Greinke to succeed but let's call it as it is.
  12. He's batting .240, but he has a .408 OBP and an .867 OPS. I don't look at Boggs as a savior, but he has gotta cover more ground in the OF and he has to be able to match the .644 OPS Kotsay is putting up. Agreed with logan that we need to be putting our best players out there and I can't conceive of a way Kotsay is one of the 25 best options. For those that want to know. Taylor Green's current slash line is .306/.380/.533 Make the call Doug.
  13. Beautiful call by RRR. Giving credit where it is due.
  14. He owns Ax. Ax has given up two HR's all season and both are to Ax.
  15. And in other news Casey McGehee still struggling mightily.
  16. Let's be fair. That ball was a rocket. Yes it was right at him and had he picked it cleanly the DP was there, but that was a shot by Bruce.
  17. Would have been nice to have Braddock face the lefties, but it wasn't Loe so I am not complaining as it is progress.
  18. And now Braddock is up. Please oh please Ron give the 8th to Braddock.
  19. Agreed. I don't think our pen is that bad. The usage has been awful though. If RRR learns how to manage a bullpen they will be serviceable.
