Right - and it seems like his approach is to do whatever he thinks will motivate each particular player. So he benches Pratt where he might not do that to someone else. I don't love that approach but some successful coaches have used it. And it seems to work for Murphy.

He admitted last night that he didn't really see what happened when Pratt was leaving the box, which was odd. And today, after seeing the replay, he said maybe he overrreacted by pulling him. Just ... not great. Seems like he just made a knee jerk move out of anger. But they do have a great record and it seems like his overall approach is pretty effective. Plus I agree this definitely was not the difference in the game,

Yeah, and I rememebr being mad that we gave up Will Inman. Linebrink sure didn't help much though.
