  1. He has called that all game. The letters is not a frickin strike
  2. Is it just me or is the heart of the lineup just trying to hit homeruns. I have watched everygame and we can drive the ball if our lives depended on it. Its either a strike out or a long fly ball.
  3. The worst part of this whole game was MLB.TV showed it on WGN. And the Italian won by 10 yards
  4. WOuld like to see hart and Weeks switched in the order until Rickie stops trying to kill everything. Great call, I agree that we should move Hart up in the lineup. Weeks is just not cutting it and he continues to waste at bats with guys on base.
  5. Well it is official, we completly stunk up Miller Park tonight!!!! There is always tommorrow (Gosh I hope I do not have to say that much more this year) And here comes the annoying cub fans text messages. I HATE CUB FANS
  6. Estrada is the only positive in our offense so far this season

  14. http://www.brewerfan.net/images/igt/vargas.jpg FREE AUDIO The game that I have looked forward to all spring. I live one block away from the Cubs stadium and can't wait to sit on my porch and talk trash to Cubs fans while grilling up some brats. I do admit that I am going to the game with my best friend that is a Cubs fan. (Hopefully we win and I can really rub it in) I hope to get some pictures up after the game. http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/3599/vargaswl3.jpg GO CREW!!!!!!!! www.public.asu.edu/~dbpauley

  17. Alright, so I was at the game today and stayed until the end of the first 5 run inning. (Bottom of 5, I had to get to work and I am kind of bummed that I did not get to see the other 5 run inning). Vargas got rocked in the first 2 innings. From where I was at, it looked like he was just throwing fastballs because the A's were all over the pitches. Also, the first 2 innings had many errors that should be worked out by the end of this spring. Like I stated before, Bill Hall looked completly lost in center. The first shot was to his right and he turned left, then back to his right and was never in a position to make the play. He also gave up on it once it went past him and Mench had to throw it in from center field. The next play was a short shot to dead center and it seemed that he did not get a read on the ball. He stepped back and then kind of jogged in. When he realized that it was short he sprinted in and could not make the play. Ryan Braun had a great game but lets not get to excited yet. It was his first spring game and he needs a lot of work on the defensive side before he makes the club. As for the first homerun, I would say that it landed somewhere in the 400 to 425 ft range. It was blasted to left center half way up the berm. (I was lucky to get a shot of this homer and it shows the ball coming in and he is in mid swing. Really cool.) I have to give a lot of credit to the bullpen today. They came in after the disaster which was the first two innings and shut them down. Overall, a decent showing for the first game of the year. A lot of work still needs to be done in the field as to errors and positioning of the outfielders. This should work itself out by the end of spring. I will try and get some pictures up when I get home from work tonight aroung 10:30 pm. Here is the link. www.public.asu.edu/~dbpauley/
