I'd be interested in knowing what the Brewers see in Mackowiak... He's a versatile player but there doesn't seem to be any playing time for him in Milwaukee unless he comes in and starts at third until Braun comes up or Koskie makes what is seeming now like an unlikely recovery. Maybe the Brewers feel Graffannino/Counsell isn't a starting option at third and they need that extra infield depth with Koskie not being available. And from the White Sox perspective, this trade doesn't seem to make a lot of sense... Over-priced outfielder probably on the downside of his career and coming off a bad season for a guy who is three years younger, less expensive, who also plays the outfield and is more versatile. Why would they even consider the trade?
