    Busy week for me. I had 4 guys taken in the major league phase of the rule 5 draft today. Now my company has 5 guys on the 25 man roster (as of now) and 13 on the 40 man. Please check my blog, huge story will be out tomorrow. I hope you guys like it. Thanks to all as usual. J

    I agree, I don't see that saying, (fill in the blank) was throwing 92-94 last night. I suppose if the guy looked pretty bad and you're talking about how erratic he was and what not, that may be a little bit inappropriate, but just simple radar readings....can't see how anyone could have a problem with that. But hey, to each their own. If you don't feel comfortable with something, it's probably best not to do it, regardless of how mundane it may seem. On that note though, how's Pena looking right now Agent? His velocity still sitting in the 95-97 range and topping out in the triple digits still? I just dont want to get into any kind of situations with other agents in the event I end up representing player x one day.

    Rehabbing from TJ will be ready for ST. He's a guy that I have grown quite close with over the last few years and I really believe deep down he's a guy that will make it. Sometimes it takes guys longer to reach their potential than others but I really feel he's going to have a long career.

    Pena isnt on the 40 man and it was done to avoid us job hunting next year. If he gets added to the 40 man this contract obviously is finished and he signs his 40 man contract.

    Busy 40 man day for me so I thought Id revive this. Cain was added to the 40 man for me this week obviously, but in addition to that we had Philippe Valiquette, Trayvon Robinson,Josh Bell, and Kenley Jansen added to the 40 man this week. Will have some decent updates this week soon. Trying to set up interviews with Cain and Jeffress for everyone. J

    I only have a responsibility to the players I represent. That responsibility takes precedent over message board clarity any day of the week. I didnt mislead anybody and Im sorry if anyone feels that way. Parts of the original story werent true. Brent wasnt going on any visits and that was bogus. Im not here to spell everything out for everyone.

    Exactly. Thank you. Its me being berated over some nitpicking. I still like this site alot and I like the guys who run it. Ill post when I can as always but this sense of entitlement on this thread really just irked me beyond belief. I cant believe people here are trying to tell me what I should be doing. Unreal.

    I think you're confusing the number of people that read this board with the number of outs a team gets in a baseball game. Attempting to belittle (literally) your audience doesn't seem like something that's a terribly good thing to do. You never know who's reading (or apparently how many). ANY logical explanation beyond the terse "This isn't true at all" statement would have put this whole thing to rest immediately. To make the assumption that I was lying or spinning something to an audience this small is insanity. Thats whats annoying right now. Again, I just try to help out here when I am able to. Making the effort to spin something here would defeat the purpose of me even coming here. If I intended to lie about something or spin something here I just wouldnt even bother posting. And im not attempting to belittle anyone here, this is a small audience and if I were to try to spin something it wouldnt be here.

    Because among other things, your job is to make your clients look good. A story saying Brent Brewer wants to play football doesn't look too great from the baseball side, so you trashed the story without acknowledging some of the truth to it.so I could make him look good to the 27 people that read this board? Come on.

    Josh, I was actually defending you, but if you want to claim the statement, fine; doesn't change the fact that Goldstein could have gotten it from any number of people. I'm glad that he's one of your best friends.I appreciate it.

    Fine I can buy that. But then do us a favor and either don't post about the situation at all or just say "Guys, I can't really talk about it." I'd have much more respect for you if you did that than say something is "a bogus rumor" when it's anything but.It was a bogus rumor, Brent at that point wasnt going on the visit when the article said he was. That was bogus. Obviously I could have been much more elaborate in my response but I didnt feel the need to. Perhaps next time Ill be more clear but it wasnt my intention to mislead anyone.Why woud I, especially here?

    Who questioned your validity? If you had said to us what you said to McCalvy no one would care. But you went out of your way to say the rumor was bogus when it was anything but. Frankly, I don't think you offer much to this board that we don't get elsewhere so your threat of not posting for a while rings sort of hollow.I owe the mainstream media an explanation, not a message board. As for not offering anything, I guess rumors and speculation are much more valuable than first hand accounts and facts. This is just amazing to me. Ive long enjoyed contributing here while my guys have climbed the ladder. For anyone to assume im here to self promote is totally insane. Who would ever hire me based off of a message board?? This board has zero impact on my career and I post solely because I enjoy interacting with fans. If that isnt appreciated or if someone feels like I owe them something more, well, I dont.

    This is idiotic. Cleary I'm just his baseball agent and not a career advisor. Surely Ive never had any conversation with Brent regarding football. I wouldnt be the last person to know. Fans on a message board relying on a scout.com report would be the last to know. Go read McCalvey's blog I fwd'd him a text message brewer shot me. http://brewersbeat.mlblogs.com Im going to go back to not posting here for a while again if I have to split hairs with people questioning my validity here.
