13 days short of arb. He has a lot to play for. Great addition by a forward thinking club. He throws bowling balls, will get a great start in PCL then we'll see. Hope spring goes well health wise!

Bryson read the story, he's a good dude. I laughed when he said he was interviewing with a Brewers affiliate, I knew he'd get hired if I went with him. I was happy to help, and thank you. I hope everyone had a nice holiday. Also, I got proposed a reality show opportunity where people like Bryson compete for an internship with my company. Not sure if I'm pursuing this but its a thing.

For those who are somewhat inclined to see how I am, I did an interview yesterday with Jack. It's just all over the place and I have to accept I need to work on my camera skills. And shave. I must shave.

Great article by McCalvey on Jaye http://m.brewers.mlb.com/news/article/101694200/pitcher-jaye-chapman-seeks-renewal-with-brewers

Next weeks announcement was Jaye Chapman signing today. Adam McCalvey is doing a piece on him and my next BP article will be on him. I am so thankful he got another shot and I think a lot of fans will be surprised by what they're getting in Jaye. He has a real chance to play in the major leagues. This could be a Turnbow/Axford/Henderson/Jeffress type signing.

I think any time I have a free agent as Chris Cotillo said its safe to assume their headed to Wisconsin. You're welcome. All kidding aside, what a well run ball club.

So I finished Manny Barreda and Taylor Greens deals preventing them from UFA. Next week Ill have another small announcement Ill be happy talk at length about its a terrific story.
  20. agent39
A certain client is coming back to the brewers in a surprising turn of events. Im beyond elated. Team should announce this week.
  21. agent39
Barreda is very good. I have no idea what nyy was doing it reqlly was a huge shock. He was a ufa for 15 minutes
  22. agent39
And fwiw he easily could go rule 5 depending on how he does in Mexico. Look at Joakim Soria. Signed with the padres out of mexico as a minor league fa, wasn't protected, dominated in mexico, selected rule 5 like two months later and the rest is history
  23. agent39
It's pretty simple. What reason would Manny have had to leave the ball club? What opportunity could possibly have been better money aside? Nobody is offering a guy with no experience above AA a 40 man spot and if there is a club for some reason that likes him enough for that they can clearly rule 5 him still. Brewers can still add him to the roster if they fear losing him. And it absolutely would be tampering talking to other ball clubs about players that are not free agents. Waiting til free agency is NOT always smart. Ask a former LHP brewer farm hand, whom I no longer work for. He had what I thought was a great offer to return to Milwaukee, I advised him to accept it he decided to test the market and ended up in indy ball before going to AA with another ball club at age 30 for about 20 percent of what his original offer was. And that is why players sign early. I have had 3 players reup with the clubs they're with thus far and a couple reject offers. Every situation is unique and in this specific case there was no way I was going to advise Manny leave the organization that gave him a chance to revive his career. Well not yet anyway lol
  24. agent39
Yankees wanted Barreda to drop down. I have no idea why. Upon refusal he was released. He was signed by the Brewers 15 minutes later. Literally 15 minutes. The shortest free agent tenure I have ever seen.
