  1. i couldn't agree more, hopefully sooner than later. It just shows the strength of our farm when we can go down and get quality arms that can really really help us in the majors.
  2. unless you plan on him playing left field, i don't want him because rickie will work it out and he will be fine.
  3. first off, how do u explain the manny parra situation. DM told him to skip his start because he may get called up. I believe the reason that Parra was about to be called up was this deal. They knew they would almost be trading Gwynn to the rangers so they told parra he would get the call. But when Otsuka got injured in his last game the deal fell through. Another player that is gaining value is Lance Nix. He has 11 Hrs and 40 RBIs for nashville and his value is increasing too. The brewers have a surplus of players that have a lot of value and could get us a big name and i really hope that MA and DM take advantage and get us Dye, Griffey, Byrnes, Dunn or someone.
  4. Carlos Pena is having an unbelievable season. He is hitting .288 20 HRs and 52 RBIs Slugging .611 and has an OBP of .397. Due to the team he's on and the lack of pitching prospects they have why not go for Pena and put him in left field. Hes left handed, and hits good against lefties and righties. How bout Parra and Jackson for Pena.
  5. that really blows.... ive been saying for 2 weeks that the brewres really need to be active at the trade deadline. Gwynn for Otsuka would have been perfect!!! But if you read the article a paragraph down, it says the brewers have a new plan which is to call up Balfour and use him instead of Otsuka. I think that Gwynn will probably be traded at the deadline for somebody, but Mike Heller from ESPN radio on a sports show this morning said that he is certain that Antanasio and Melvin are going to try and add a bat, whether its Griffey Jr., Dunn, Dye, Byrnes or someone to play outfield. So lets hope for an active trade deadline.
  6. Im very interested in buying this game but can anyone tell me what its like?? I mean is it all arcade or is it realistic too?
  7. so is parra coming up or is this all just speculation?? and if so when is he coming up. I would trade or DFA spurling or get gross into AAA, he couldm't be stinking up more than he is right now.
  8. well i think that this is TGJ's real chance to prove himself over these next few weeks. I believe that if he plays well we could see him starting for us next season in the outfield and maybe in the playoffs this year, but if he struggles i can see him being trade bait around the trade deadline. but this proves the depth of our Brewers. Even though billy went down we have so much depth that we could still win and play very well without him.
  9. can someone tell me about Manny Parra a little, like what does he throw, hows his delivery and stuff like that.
  10. i think they should bring up lance nix, i want some power in the bat we bring up to replace bill hall. I really like gwynn but i don't think he provides enough power.
  11. how could he be a 4th outfielder with the numbers hes putting up hes having a better year than any of our outfielders. .315 13 HRs 46 RBIs 15 SBs I would think that the brewers should take a look at him at the deadline or if not sign him in the offseason.
  12. that was a great post man.... good read and i agree with everything.
  13. Starters Sheets Gallardo Capuano Suppan Vargas Bush Relievers Cordero Villanueva Turnbow Wise Shouse Spurling
  14. Rodgers is currently healing from a torn labrem and has been injury prone early in his career. Although, he is still only 21 years old, he has a great moving fastball around 96 MPH great curveball and circle change and is a great athlete. Does Rodgers still have a future in the brewers rotation or could he be trade bait?? I believe that he does and our rotation in the future will be Gallardo Inman Villanueva Rodgers Jeffress (Edit: spelling of player's name in thread title --1992casey)
  15. i still feel like the brewers won this series. We out hit them, we out pitched them and i feel that we won that first game. I know it was 1-2 but i think it could have easily been 2-1. Either way our schedule is favorable, we have a lot of lefties coming up and i think we will stay hot until the all star break.
  16. alright im gonn say gallardo's final line will be like this: 6 IP 5 Hits 2 R 2 ER 2 BBs 8 Ks
  17. Here are tonights lineups RF Corey Hart SS JJ Hardy 3B Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder CF Bill Hall DH Johnny Estrada LF Geoff Jenkins C Damien Miller 2B Craig Counsell
  18. Here are some players that are on the block in Milwaukee IMO: Zach Jackson: Too Many other prospects, not much room. Could interest some teams. Tony Gwynn Jr: Love him, But we have LaPorta comin up and no other room for him. He could be trade bait for a team lookin for a leadoff hitter. Manny Parra: I think he will be in milwaukee before season's end but if not he could be traded due to no room for him. Jose Capellan- Not pitching good for milwaukee, hasn't shown much and lost some serious velocity. Cole Gillespie- I feel that gillespie wo'nt be needed and has some serious value. Brad Nelson- Once a top prospect in milwaukee, maybe a change of scenary would help him. Mark Rodgers- I still have hope for Rodgers but he hasn' t shown any health so he could have some value. Geoff Jenkins and Kevin Mench- Both having solid seasons, major leaguers, proven offensive players, free agents at the end of the year, could have a lot of value. Claudio Vargas- Having a good season in milwaukee, but with Villanueva showing hes a top pitcher in milwaukee, and Gallardo their top prospect i doubt he sticks around. Could interest a team needing a starter. Dennis Sarfate- Throws in the mid to upper 90's with a good breaking ball. i feel he could be our closer next year if he steps it up, But i he is trade bait and could draw some attention. Dave Bush- Not living up to expectations this year but proved he was a good starter last year and could draw some attention. He is also feeling pressure from Gallardo, Inman and Villanueva. Here are some players that Could be available and affordable for milwaukee: Eric Byrnes- A free agent at the end of the year who has always put up good numbers and have proved to be good starter. Adam Dunn- Strikes out a lot but has alot of power and could be affordable with some pitching depth. He could add another bat that the brewers need. Scott Linebrink- He has proven that he is one of the better relievers in baseball but might be over the brewer's price range. He could make our bullpen one of the best. Chad Cordero- Cordero had a great season last year and has had a solid one this year as well. He could be another good arm to add to our bullpen and we could have 3 closers locking down a game. I feel that we could really use some bullpen depth at the deadline and maybe an outfielder who can hit for power. Bobby Abreau is a possilbilty but would take Inman and probably a lot more. Torii Hunter, Ichiro, and Andrew Jones are others but could cost too much.
  19. Heres a better stat for u. After the all star break, the brewers only play 4 Teams that currently have a record above .500, Mets, D-Backs, Braves, Padres. I feel pretty good about our chances after the allstar break with the talent we have only getting more experienced with Gallardo and Braun and the other guys just getting better. We may not play any tough teams but if we get into the playoffs after beating easier teams, the young guys will have confidence they can beat anyone.
  20. this is awful man. I know hes human but he had a 3 run lead for god sakes.
  21. yess!!! he got out of it. Good outing for sheets, and hopefully he gets the win so we can get him to the allstar game.
  22. yea ned just doesn't get it. He thinks that we can just keep losing and then start winning again without any changes. He is an idiot. I think hes a good manager but hes just full of crap right now. How can he not be pannicking. We were 14 games over .500 and they way its going right now, agaisnt the tigers and the twins on the road, we wo'nt be over .500 for very much longer.
  23. im going to bet money that he puts hall as the DH and use TGJ and Gabe Gross some time in center. That is the best idea. But i wouldnt be surprised with a Mench DH either.
  24. well whether or not Yost's job is in jeoprody or not, the cardinals are only 4.5 games back right now and getting hot and so are the cubs and pirates. Im starting to get really freaked out. We have a 9 game road trip in the american league against the Rangers, Twins and the Tigers. I feel we should be able to do well against the rangers, but the twins and tigers the brewers haven't had much success against. IMO if the brewers have another road trip like their previous one, they will no longer be the leaders in the NL Central.
  25. Kim's best start this year was against the cubs and they are mostly right handed. Soriano, Lee, Ramirez, DeRosa, Theriot, Murton. I mean obviously he pitches well when there's a lot of righties so lets go with a lefty lineup. Sit some guys on the bench to get those lefties.
