  1. Well he's up to 93 mph now, but it hasn't been that good so far for Sheets.
  2. He's got a decent curveball though it looks like.
  3. Up to 89 mph now. That's a little better.
  4. Sheets fastball is only at 87 mph. Not good.
  5. I wonder if we'll ever get Mike Fontenot out.
  6. Here comes the intentional walk to Hanley. Great opportunity here.
  7. The Marlins announcer has mentioned that Santana keeps raising his arm after every pitch. He might be tiring already. We'll see.
  8. Looks like the inning is over, but Gameday has been known to be wrong.
  9. Looks like a big inning is already looming for the Mets.
  10. If were throwing games out there, I might as well mention the game vs the Twins a few years ago where Weeks and Fielder hit their first career home runs. I was there, but the first thing I did when I went home was listen to Daron Sutton's call: "CAREER HOME RUN #1. FOR THE MAN WHO IS PRINCE WILL SOON BE KING!" Great game, but nothing close to what's happened this week.
  11. I'm glad this thread was brought back because it goes to show that Melvin and Yost knew what they were doing in keeping McClung on our Roster for the regular season. People were so mad that we got rid of Vargas, but really, it was the right move. In Melvin we trust.
  12. I'd say yesterday's game was the best ever because at the end of the game the girl in the row behind me decided to flash everyone. Greatness.
  13. Apples to Oranges. We are talking about the Organization's top prospect here and an injury to one of our key players. We aren't talking about an average pitcher underperforming and replacing him with a pitcher who's had success earlier in his career.
  14. This brings up a decent point though. Why the heck hasn't Lamb been used at 3B? He's been playing 3B for a while and he can't be any worse than Counsell has been when you factor in his offense. I just don't understand big league managers.
  15. Well Escobar would provide more power than Counsell. I believe he had 8 homers this year and I saw him homer at a Spring Training game this year. Also, he would provide better defense and more speed. The only thing Counsell has on him is his ability to walk a lot more. Boy I hope this isn't true. Losing Hardy would be really bad.
  16. The Brewers won 88 games this year!
  17. We have been treated to some great baseball here this week. One more weekend of great baseball and October is here!
