  1. Notnsure how that even stayed fair...ot was way off the inside.
  2. I didn't see it as I was at a beer tasting, but are you surprised by awful home plate umpiring? Someone else linked the home plate ump pitches and there are a lot more 'call hurts' than 'call helps'. And, I complain to my friends as much as I do on here both for and against the umpire at home. They are awful. There was a pitch last night that was off the plate in AND the catcher was set up outside and it was still called a strike. Made it 2 2 instead of 3 1. It's a joke and screwed the Padres out of a potential big spot. I generally only post the bad ones here because it's a 'brewer site', but umpiring at home has been awful all the way around. Imo. Edit: I say this as someone who has no balls and strikes experience, but would gladly take a call from a machine and get it right in order ti surpress my ego.
  3. Are you planning on tailgating? If so, gates open 2 hours before game time and I'd go early. If you aren't planning on tailgating you can get on a shuttle at a local bar and they drive you right to the front gate. The shuttle is the cost of one drink before hand.
  4. Rock talking about bringing the closer In, but I wish more teams would do that. Your best pitcher should be used in these high leverage spots.
  5. I wad thinking the same thing. I think a lot of Cards fans don't have much confidence in Matheny.
  6. Hopefully shaw can have a solid at bat and move em over! Or maybe just let Rosenthal walk everyone. Edit...or let the ump bail him out with a strike call on ball 3.
  7. Carpenter probably circles the Brewers on the schedule and just starts imagining what he's going to do with all the money he makes against them.
  8. It has seemed pretty lopsided today in favor of the cards, both games. If you look at that you'll notice a lot of 'call hurts'.
  9. Yes, I am curious what we will see. Although, this team is so hot and cold that we could play below 500 ball during those games too.
  10. Anyone else watching this game also curious where pitch 2 missed to Fowler? It'd be nice if there was some sort of thing to keep thsee guys accountable.
  11. Strike 3 to Pina. Surprise surprise. Was hoping to see Broxton with a single or double. At least a shot at the cycle. Bummer!
  12. Green light swing on 3 0? Yikes. Glad he tripled on the next pitch though.
  13. Who knew all it took to get Carpenter back on track was Brewer pitching?
  14. Brinson rung up on a ball. These guys have been top notch today.
  15. Hmm. Surprised that ball wasn't caught, but I'm not a major league center fielder...so...
  16. Clearly that's their gameplan to get a higher pitch count and to get to that bullpen.
  17. Thames just saw 6 balls...2 of them were called strikes. One of them was so far off the plate I simply laughed out loud. These guys are bad st their jobs.
  18. I agree, but it is frustrating watching a goal get disallowed. I'm still waiting for the league to hold Crosby accountable for his questionable antics. He chopped off one guys finger, stabs another in the groin, and then shoves a guys head into the ice and the league stuffs it under the rug. (I realize all of those things didn't happen in the playoffs).
