  1. He also should have been removed with bases loaded. Why leave him in, it was clear he didn't have it tonight, let someone else try not to blow it. I agree, K-Rod has sucked too, but maybe a change in his role would pump him up and allow him to right the ship as closer? Hell, he records a couple of saves before the deadline and he might bring something back in a trade.....or not.
  2. We have no shot at the wild card with Axford as our closer, he no longer has it, it's gone... Shades of Turnbow... As I type this, now he loses the lead. He needs to be removed from the closer's role, NOW!
  3. Final price, $202.50 plus shipping. WOW!
  4. I think that some of us are hanging our hats on Kottaras's great April. He hasn't done much of anything since then, in fact, when he comes out to the on deck circle, I cringe. If we can trade him, trade him! Maldy deserves to stick the rest of this year, he has earned it. No need to complicate this situation with veteran nonsense. You keep the best players, and if GK is our best option as a PH, then we are screwed anyway. I don't care what we do with Kottaras, he seems pretty much worthless to me. Average hitter at best and a below average catcher with a noodle arm. If Wolf has a problem with that, screw him too. He just isn't good enough to dictate any type of roster move regarding Maldy and Kottaras. It is a no brainer, dump Kottaras, and Wolf too if he can't survive without him. I hope and pray Wolf is gone next year. Maldanado has become one of my favorite Brewers, he deserves to stay with this team period!
  5. It's amazing any of our starters have a win the way our bullpen has pitched this year.
  6. I do NOT like a one run lead in the 7th while getting into the bullpen... Nice play Ryan...
  7. Seriously, "Ishi" and "Izzy" both starting, together? Ishi hitting in the 2 hole? If Hart is not getting the day off, why on earth is Ishikawa playing 1B and batting 2nd? So, now we have Aoki and Hart playing out of position just so Ishikawa can get a start in? RR is a dweeb. Probably means we score 10 runs tonight... (Yes, I know that both Hart and Aoki are not a stretch in those positions, but damn, we got something good going with Hart at 1B, why in the heck mess with that? I just don't understand, I just don't. No need to complain that we can't start the same line-up day in and day out when the opportunity is there to do it, our manager just seems to think it helps us by running a different line-up out there every single game) Ishikawa hitting 2nd... If it wasn't sad that someone thinks this is a good thing, I'd be laughing right now. "Ishi" hitting 2nd. Where is our new blood SS? Just another waste of a roster spot if he doesn't get to play... RR is a.........nevermind.
  8. Here is one of his Giants: http://www.bobblesgalore.com/1412-ryan-vogelsong-bobblehead.html
  9. THAT is AWESOME!
  10. I just don't understand how he thinks, but then again, that is probably a good thing...
  11. I enjoy the hunt too, more so than most, but in this case, I went with convenience... I don't see any reason to get bitter over this, or defensive... It's a hobby, doing it one way or the other isn't wrong or right. There are times I wait it out, and times I don't. I weighed the pluses and minuses on this one, and thought that paying $41 each was acceptable. To be honest, I don't even want the paintable ozzie or Sterban, but once you have ALL the rest, ya gotta keep going...lol
  12. I am extremely disappointed in the bobble, it looks like crap... Little tiny head, I hope it looks better in person than in the photos.
  13. yeah, I noticed that, still at 150 though...
  14. Thanks for the information... Marseco played in Appleton for 2 seasons, a slick little fielder, but nothing with the bat... Just wondered where he ended up.
  15. I'm not sure I agree that the bobble trend is on the decline, but you might be right about that... I don't think that $41.67 each including shipping is that bad myself... Sure, you could wait, in hopes they come up on ebay cheaper and buy them all seperately, but this seems like an easy way to get all 3, no fighting in auctions, getting sniped at the last second, etc... I don't know if you have been paying attention to the Hunter Morris bobbles on ebay, but there have only been a handful of them so far, and the sellers are putting pretty hefty prices on them. So yes, you can wait it out on ebay, that is an option, but with only 1000 Corey Harts to begin with, it might not be as easy as you think to get the set of 3 at $25 each. I'm sure, given time, you can come up with the entire set of 3 for a lot cheaper, but for a few bucks more, you can also get them all delivered to your door within a week of the last one given out, and not have to worry about it... To me, for this set, it was worth the extra $...
  16. Good thing you are not the GM because we would then be moving more towards the 90's era Brewers teams if you were. Yuck. How so?
  17. Michael Marseco and Robbie Garvey? I can't find them on any of our minor league rosters, just curious where they ended up.
  18. "He certainly won't trade a bench bat like Kottaras either if we are in contention" If he is the best bench bat we have, there will be no playoffs this year folks... What has GK done for us lately? It seems like ions ago that he was on a ripfest, was that even this season? Since then, he has not been very good. I'd trade him for nothing if given the chance, and throw in Wolf right along with him.
  19. I disagree that Ramirez is a negative defensively. He is serviceable to say the least. To be honest, I think his defense has been far better than I expected when we signed him.
