  1. I can't stand Roenicke either but yes it is annoying to scroll through every IGT and see like 8 of yours posts each page, with 6 of them saying how much Roenicke sucks. understood. I will post less.
  2. You did not say that, only after the 6th inning happened whatever... silly argument.
  3. He can't pull him, Veras is his 7th inning guy, and he is unavailable. Parra is in to finish the 7th so K-Rod can pitch the 8th. It is set in stone, the RR stone of managing MLB.
  4. Well next time type that in here so we have it on the record. Lets keep this civil please.
  5. The problem is when every questionable decision turns into "RR is an idiot...". Or decisions that have little or no consequence on the outcome of the game. It seems like some of you guys are looking for things to blame him for and aren't looking at it objectively. For instance, had Thornburg been pulled after the 5th and then Dillard came in and promptly blown the lead, you guys would have been right on RR's throat. False, as I said before, I wanted Thornburg out after the 5th, regardless of his pitch count.
  6. We differ in opinion, and that is just the way it is. He had held one of the best offensive teams to 2 runs through 5 innings, imo, his job was done. He was about to face some bigtime hitters for the 3rd time in the same game. A recipe for disaster considering this is his first big league start. Ok, so he lets him come out for the 6th, gives up a HR, maybe that is the first clue, and maybe THAT is the time to react. Nope, leaves him in. Gives up his 2nd HR, back to back. Maybe THAT is the time to make a move. Tie game, first big league start, let the regulars blow the lead, no harm no foul. Nope, he leaves him in to give up his 3rd HR, back, to back to back. Inexcusable as a manager. There really is no way to excuse his poor decision making, and it happens daily. You have to understand when to handle a situation, especially a rookie against that line-up, the third time through. It is textbook rookie in his first start stuff. Big league hitters, third time through can figure a rookie out. If Dillard comes in and blows it, so be it. We have seen that before often enough...
  7. Absolutely! Hated him as a Cub, loving him as a Brewer. He sure can be clutch, as we saw time after time when he was wearing a cubs uniform.
  8. Quick question regarding the RR debate. Is it the negativity that bothers those of you who always side with RR, or do you truly think RR has a clue how to manage a MLB team... If you just get sick of the negative comments, I can fully undestand that being a drag, but after 1.5 years of watching RR flail around our dugout, I just can't see any reason to think he can run this team successfully... He was outmanaged by Ned Yost for God's sake.
  9. Corey can really suck at times... Either he is red hot, or stone cold.
  10. and with that, Thornburg does not take the loss in his first major league start... Good for him, and GOOD FOR RAMIREZ!
  11. I think "Rammy" is going to come up BIG here! Would love to see Thornburg off the hook for the loss.
  12. I don't think I'm overreacting at all. Thornburg was pitching at AA yesterday, and tonight he's facing one of the toughest lineups in the majors. We got 5 great innings out of him. Asking him to go through that lineup a third time was asking for trouble, and that's what we got. Thornburg will be a great pitcher for us, but we were expecting too much for a guy that's pitched 10 games in AA to come in and pitch six or more innings at the Major League level. I have to say I agree... You would expect a manager to be able to figure this stuff out on his own. It sometimes seems like RR is learning on the fly, except, that can't be true because he never makes corrections to the stupid things he does. He just keeps doing the same stuff over and over and over and over. Before the 6th, I told my son that Thornburg should come out, avoid the loss, set him up for a possible win, and let him go to sleep tonight knowing he pitched a hell of a game against one of the most potent line-ups in the league. Instead, he is now dealing with disappointment instead of pride. If I can figure that out, why can't he? Common sense really, which is always lacking in our dugout.
  13. Can't walk Braun now! On the other hand, maybe thy will to avoid the BIG ONE here...lol Ramirez can hurt them too if they take that route...
  14. Hitting on this team is coming around, now if we had a bullpen...
  15. Can Dillard be any more worthless? I cringe when I see him and Veras enter a game, well, I actually cringe when I se Loe and K-Rod too... (and Axford.....nervous laugh)
  16. Does he need to stand and watch that long off a rookie pitcher? Jerkface.
