  1. I wonder if the opening day bobble will be Fang and Bernie again? I think 2 of those is enough, however, I think the kids really like it.
  2. FYI: They will be doing 2 bobbles this year, one on opening day, and a fan's choice bobble on Augsut 29th. Listed as possible candidates are Jeffress and Khris Davis Home Run Record... http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20101215&content_id=16325962&vkey=pr_t572&fext=.jsp&sid=t572
  3. I wonder if the value of the Prince bobbles will go down once he is traded or walks as a free agent? The 03 Prince has a hefty price tag, but I would think that the value is based on his being a brewer.
  4. The most I've ever paid is $40. I try to rely mostly on trading, but of course, I don't have any of the REALLY rare ones. Since I started collecting the powder blues and alternate full size bobbles, it made me realize just how much I don't need them bad enough to pay the prices that people want... If I stumble across a good deal, I'll take advantage, but trading is the way to go.
  5. Stubs mean nothing to me personally, but there are bobble collectors that like having the stubs with the bobbles. Do you have an extra stitch-n-pitch bobble?
  6. I get the souvenir 7 package every year. One for me and both my kids, it is the only way to go if you ask me. I wonder if they will do a fan's choice bobble this year? In the past, they have made that bobble part of the souvenir 7 package, hopefully they continue to include that date in the package. One Bush may be enough for some of you (heh heh heh) I digress... I was saying I expected a Dave Bush, not that I wanted one... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif As far as still being able to purchase the holiday bobbles in the team store, that is very disappointing, like jjkoestler, I too expected them to be hard to come by. Obviously, since they still had them for sale, we were wrong. I still find it hard to believe that they only made 96 of each and they are still available. Then there was the whole "of 2010" made issue printed on the bottoms... I can understand that no one would want the Suppan and Bush bobbles, but it's hard for me to believe that no one was scooping up the Cain and Greens... If they have more of those available, I may grab a couple extras. If there are only 96 of each out there, they may become pretty scarce in the near future. I just went online and tried to add 12 Cain's in my cart to see if they had that many left, it said they only have 3 left. Same thing with Green, and it said they have 9 left in stock. 12 Suppan and 6 Bush... The last time I did this months ago, they had like 10-12 of each in stock. So if they only sold a few in the team store throughout the entire season, I don't think they were as popular as they were hoping. Maybe the $21.99 price was a bit high?
  7. Agreed, I think the problem was that if you ordered the ticket packages, you were stiill paying an extra $16 for the bobble. Didn't make sense to me. You were not getting a free bobble with the ticket purchase, you were actually paying more. This year they are offering t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats, but again, if you buy the tickets at face value, you are still paying retail prices for the things they say they are giving you for free. It will be interesting to see how well the promo does this year, I'm sure the new logos will make their sales jump a little, but you can buy the items in their team store, so there is no big advantage to paying full price for the ticket package plus the cost of the item you choose.
  8. ...I was totally expecting a Dave Bush and Carlos Gomez bobble along with a possible Scooter (and the snowman) and Khris Davis Franchise HR record bobble. They have to capitalize on the Davis HR record at some point right? The Scooter Snowman bobble would have been sooooooooooo cool had it won the fan's choice contest, even though having the first Odorizzi bobble is pretty neat, I was hoping for the Scooter.
  9. How much do the new albums cost at places like hot topic and exclusive cmpany? I'm guessing around $20?
  10. Don't the sponsors pay for the bobbles? How much money do the brewers put up for the bobbles? I had always assumed the sponsors put up the biggest share to cover the cost of the bobbles since they got to advertise. Anyone have any information on this subject?
  11. You might be correct bikeage, however, the Indian's Choo was also an all-fan give-away, and it was so much nicer than the brewers SGAs... SOOOOOO much nicer!
  12. Call them, they will know if it is sold out...
  13. You wanna know something cool? I just called MLB.com to tell them that the blue lighting doesn't show up, and they are shipping me a new one, FREE of charge, and the best thing yet, I do not have to return the one I have now. That is a great way to win customers over right there. Their fault, don't make the customer go through the hassel of shipping it back, just send them a new one! AWESOME!
  14. well, I have to tell you guys, got it in the mail today, and I'm pretty disappointed, even though it only cost me $30 shipped, had I seen it in the store, plugged in, I wouldn't have purchased it. I would have left it on the shelf for certain. The blue part of the light surrounding the brewer lettering is barely visible. The plexi glass cover is scratched in a few places. If I knew now what I didn't know beforehand, I wouldn't have gotten it.
  15. vinyl is coming back... I myself prefer the sound of vinyl over anything digital, including cds, but the hassle of playing albums makes it so much easier to play a cd... anyway, I contacted Reckless Records, but they don't quite have what I am looking for. Thanks!
  16. actually bikeage, the ones I still need are the ones that go pretty high on ebay for a frameable copy. Especially the Metallica. A good one goes for around $15-20, then add the $4 shipping... Some people are asking upwards of $50, but I doubt they get that much. That doesn't seem like a lot, but it adds up. Back in Black is a tough one to find that is frameable, with no ringwear, etc. because it is an all black cover. It shows everything! I had a pretty clsoe to mint copy when I got rid of it. I used to get all my albums, put them on cassette, then store them, so all of mine were pretty close to mint, and only played a few times.
  17. I find it annoying how poor quality they are compared to other teams, organizations, etc. I just got a Shin Soo Choo (former Timber Rattler) Cleveland Indians SGA and it is really nice. Painted really well, everything lined up, just a great looking bobble. The T-Rats bobbles are excellent as well. In fact, the Lawrie and Odorizzi bobbles for the past couple of years are the best I have seen period as far as quality goes. The brewers SGA bobbles are extremly poor quality all the way around.
  18. I've gotten quite a few on ebay, picked up a few at Half Price Books, but they put the darn price tag stickers on them, and sometimes they are impossible to remove without some form of damage. I've picked up about 30, and what I find most annoying is that I had them all previously, but gave them all away as I replaced them on cd.
  19. Is the Mr. 3000 bobble hard to find on ebay? I have never seen one there, and every time I do search, I get nothing.
  20. Last year I began to seek out my favorite albums (lps) of all time so I could frame them for my basement. I have them all on cd now, but got rid of the albums a long time ago, which is why I am looking for them now......(sigh.) They look awesome, and everytime I look at them it takes me back to the old days, when rock and roll was great, and times were a little less stressfull. (we are talking the 80's mostly, lol) Remember when the album was like a little work of art? Today's cds are just too small to enjoy the artwork. I have located all the ones on my list via several sources, but am missing just 4. If any of you have your old album collections laying around and you'd like to get rid of the ones I need, I'm willing to buy or trade for them. The only catch is that the covers have to be in frameable shape. No ringwear, marks, scuffs, rips, etc... The ones I am still looking for are as follows: AC/DC - Back in Black Metallica - Master of Puppets Judas Priest - Hell Bent for Leather Vain - No Respect If you have any of the 4 and would like to part with them, let me know! thanks!
  21. Added 20fry to the list of great guys!! He sent me a FREE 2011 brewers magnet schedule... (actually sent me 2, but the first one never arrived!) One of the best here at brewerfan.net!
  22. Wasn't someone going to set up a website similiar to BillyHallFan's with photos? That would be awesome!
  23. I feel for you man... That is upsetting.
