  1. what did braun do with the bases loaded
  2. Gagne is hitting .500 off of Dempster. We need to get him in the lineup today.
  3. do you happen to know if the mlb.com package blacks out in areas across wisconsin for the brewers?
  4. He might throw multiple innings, but he will need the next week off to rest. The hard heat he throws is rough on the arm.
  5. If you give them slave wages though, why would they want to stay here after their arbitration years. I think by buying out a year or two of free agency will more than make up for what we would give them before arby hits barring any injury to either of them.
  6. Beating the Cubs is never meaningless.
  7. When Gallardo is pitching, I would just go right ahead and pencil him in the 3 spot.
  8. If you can, I would recommend taking the lab as satisfactory/no credit. I did that for biology and went to class once every few times and breezed through that class. You get enough points from showing up to labs that you don't need to do too well on the exams to get a satisfactory grade.
  9. I got Lasik done by Stephen Dudley at Optivision about 3 years ago and I must say it was the best decision of my life. A couple of great things about it is that you never having to mess with contacts and glasses again and you are able to wake up and see. The operation only took about 10 minutes and I went to sleep that night and in the morning I could see just fine. Price wise, I belive it was roughly $2,000 per eye when I got it done but I was just going into college so I didn't have anything covered from insurance. Overall, I still feel like it was money well spent.
  10. According to Rotoworld: "The Brewers are concerned Yovani Gallardo might have torn cartilage in his right knee. GM Doug Melvin said Gallardo felt discomfort in the knee after a throwing session a couple of days ago and the knee swelled up afterward. If Gallardo has torn cartilage and needs surgery, he'd require three or four weeks off. That'd put him on the DL for a couple of weeks to begin the season. It wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for the Brewers. They probably don't want him throwing more than 200 innings in the regular season anyway." This is not good news. Hopefully it is just some discomfort and nothing serious. (Note: In reply #98, jvrocksaz notes that as of March 10th, there are conflicting reports as to the status of Yo's injury --1992)
  11. to all those who have gone with a bar before, how expensive is it?
  12. I made it up to 12.35 last night thanks to ucla and indiana.
  13. I use a DeMarini 375 for 12 inch softball. Our league has an extensive list of banned bats and that is one of the few bats that is not on the list. I love the bat and I haven't had a complaint from anyone on my team who uses it.
  14. haha...that advertising thing is pretty nice. Congrats on the victory!
  15. Haha. I already lost my 10 cents three times. I guess the third time is not a charm for me.
  16. burnie...it's a lot of fun. I just found out about it two days ago and I've been on it all the time since then. It makes other games a lot more fun to watch. Hope you enjoy it.
  17. http://www.centsportslive.com?opcode=8362 Here you can bet on sports games for free. They give you 10 cents to start with and you can cash out anytime after you get $10. Every time you lose they give you another 10 cents, so basically you never have less than 10 cents. I haven't won any money yet, but I've been doing parlays the whole time just trying to make a bunch of money. www.protrade.com This site offers a sports stock market. You essentially get 20,000 protrade dollars to start with and they have many different prizes once you start making money.
  18. I am going to both the Saturday and the Sunday game. Hopefully there is no rain near the area at all that weekend!
  19. Thanks again jodo23...I found a hotel for my group. It is the Hyatt about 10 miles from Fenway. I am going with a group of about 10 so it worked out perfectly. Thanks for your help.
  20. Thanks for the info jodo.....I'll be sure to look into that. $150 per night doesn't seem too bad.
  21. I was wondering what hotel everyone who is attending the game(s) is staying at or if anybody has any recommendations as to what hotel to stay in. I am just a poor college student so I am looking for a relatively inexpensive hotel. I plan on attending the Saturday and Sunday games with a group of about 6-8 people. What game(s) is everybody else going to? Thanks for your help in advance!
