  1. The first base line camera shot there seemed pretty conclusive on Sheets being safe. I am A-OK with Sheets not sliding.
  2. Right on the edge of interference, but I don't think Ricky tagged him so it's a wash. Good job by Marquis getting the bat on the ball, if anything. That was a tough pitch.
  3. Rough situation, but perhaps you're on an odd streak. Your post's date stamp appears to me as "4/29/19". Maybe your tickets were for this date in 11 years!
  4. My charter cable guide says the game should be on, yet my TV shows no game. Lame.
  5. Broken record: So glad we got Kendall.
  6. This seems like about the only way that Kelvin could stay in the business, and I don't mind the move if it does happen. No recruiting violations in the NBA.
  7. As noted by rluz, this would be a Bag 'o Balls with a $2.4 Million lien against it. Them's some expensive balls.
  8. Easily safe, from the replays. EDIT: Unless he came off the bag with the tag still on him.
  9. Rick Roll'd High-larious.
  10. According to Gameday, the called-strike first pitch to Dave Roberts would've been a HBP with a right-handed batter.
  11. Gameday lists both release and resulting MPH on pitches, which is probably where the speed confusion is coming in. EDIT: Jazzy = Quicker w/ the typin' fingers.
  12. Some great featured vids on www.youtube.com - I'm a fan of the first one.
  13. Yep - and it looks like the site is down right now. All I've gotten is a couple disposable power packs for my iphone. Good for car emergencies.
  14. I don't think there's a crystal clear answer, but probably several factors: - Each swing is a huge percentage of the actual gameplay and can have a major impact on the whole event. - Golfing takes a lot of concentration, to which silence is arguably more conducive. - The individual nature of the sport - you can affect one guy and he's the only guy, not a part of a team - You're very, very close to the player and to the action, and some might say that commands more respect to the player - The game is entirely merit-based in terms of pay. Yeah, guys do have endorsements and such, but they don't have a salary that they get regardless of how they play. One swing can mean tens of thousands of dollars, or more. EDIT: I'll also throw in that all of the factors have led, over time, to the tradition of spectator silence, which the players have become accustomed to. More as an effect than a cause, as well, is that it's more of an all-or-nothing thing, where if one guy is clicking a camera outside of relative silence it can be very distracting, whereas if everyone was making noise all the time it wouldn't matter as much.
  15. I too have this question. I always thought it was in a league of its own. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. Anybody have any good suggestions for more local/regional BBQ sauces that are available online? A quick google search brings up dozens of orderable varieties, but it's nice to get opinions beforehand. I'll say that if you like a more vineagary, smokey and slightly mustardy sauce, try Arthur Bryant's from Kansas City. Their original is different from just about anything that I've had, and it's certainly not sweet. My favorite is the Rich and Spicy.
  17. Yep, that's also all I know of, though I can't say I've frequented either in several years.
  18. One of my favorites for steak is off of the good ol' Food Network. Not mine originally, of course (though I do tinker with it a bit), but not out of a bottle: Balsamic BBQ
  19. Sweet Baby Ray's original Saz's original Hunts Original (bleh) This makes me think that I need to order some from Arthur Bryant's - I don't have enough!
  20. This is the best news I have heard all day.
  21. One Dolla. But I agree on getting a dollar coin, or at least a couple 50 cent pieces. Makes it a bit more special.
  22. If I'm not mistaken, the player in question hasn't been playing with the team for several months. While I feel like the NCAA is about as unpredictable as sanctioning bodies come, I believe they will not take away the championship from Duluth since they had not carried that particular player for so long. What could happen, however, is that games in which that player did play could be vacated, which would give Wisconsin the regular season WCHA title.
  23. I'm in! This is great, Pedro.
