  1. Here at the stadium, the organist is playing the theme to ST: The Next Generation before Lucroy's ABs. Not bad.
  2. Atlanta always seems to compete with the Dodgers for prettiest night games on TV.
  3. Most of this bad luck can probably be put on the Ghost of Yuni Past. *fist shake*
  4. He was moving to a cut-off position, clearly must've thought it would get through. Maybe he's been watching 2011 video featuring Yuni (who NEVER would've gotten there).
  5. I guess if that was going to happen with a guy on second, that was a particularly low-incremental-damage situation for it.
  6. Seems like almost any of those hits were just as likely to have turned into that DP we just saw. Baseball, she is fickle.
  7. What the heck was that first strike to Corey Hart? Hopefully an anomaly. Glad he got on, at least.
  8. Maybe with Casey, but I thought a lot of the complaints about Yuni were due to range and general slowness. Even when Yuni was on one of his boomlets of acceptable hitting, he looked awful in the field. Not saying the eye test is good enough, but if that's what we're talking about here, I don't know that having Pujols at first would've made any difference in general opinion.
  9. If Rickie's home run went about 375 feet (distance to the pole + a very rough allowance for the curvature of its flight path), then it was traveling an average of 75.9mph throughout its flight. Neat.
  10. I'm pleased that Braun didn't get hit in the head by that ball. It might not've been that close, but it looks like it could've been. Also - yay, a lefty up with men on! Edit: Waaah waaaaaaaah...
  11. So, are people in WI able to watch on FSNWI, or is it usurped by ESPN? I can watch BA and Rock via MLB.tv, but I'm out of market.
  12. It'd be nice if Wolf could get that inside strike that Lynn just got against Rickie.
  13. Looking forward to our shot to take the series. Can't say enough how great it is to have baseball back. I wonder when it'll feel like we're really entrenched in the season (maybe some already feel that way?)
  14. Toronto/Cleveland today features some great alternates. Mods -- any chance we could turn this thread into a broader 2012 Uniform Discussion?
  15. Black Unis today against the Reds -- they don't look bad at all. I can see what others were saying about the colors fitting into the general image of Miami as a city. Works for me.
  16. Move Gamel and Lucroy each up a spot and we probably have a couple more runs today. Hopefully that can happen soon. (At least Gamel.)

  18. Each time Gonzalez has been up in that 6th spot so far it has been a missed opportunity with men on base for Gamel or Lucroy. It really hurts the soul.

  20. FSN . . . it's still the early season for them, too, I guess. Getting some random camera angles sometimes.
