  1. I have (almost) no words. My heart aches.
  2. Gomez leadoff, Betancourt 2nd imo. http://24.media.tumblr.com/2d0fdb2a9af4e57729791a036e716675/tumblr_mgp0usyJn31qazkdco3_250.gif

  5. "UNCOUNCIOUS" [sic] Gritty vet Craig Counsell apparently still affecting Brewers' performance, according to Cards fans.
  6. Both A-Ram and Braun had fouled a ball straight back, then came right back and hammered one out. You could sense it coming with both. Superb hitters.
  7. Triple digits on the home gun for Ax. EDIT: BA and Rock finally start paying attention to it, unaware that he's already hit 100 3 times.
  8. Dodgers fans didn't just cheer for Manny, they went completely nuts for him. I was at a game in 2010 and it was both totally absurd and oddly entertaining. I certainly wasn't disgusted or anything - they can cheer whoever they want. The amount of positive energy was uplifting.
  9. Got the displeasure of watching that one on the Reds feed. Decent pitch, hit just over Rickie to the perfect spot in the outfield, Hart with a bad throw and it's a run. Everything had to go right for the Reds to score, and it did. And Phillips drops in a bloop for another one. Hard luck.
  10. Don't know that I've ever seen a player hit on a bounce. I'm glad that's still a base.
  11. This AB has to be a nightmare for Plush. He looks like a deer in the headlights.
  12. Huh. Well - if this one doesn't turn around in a hurry, at least losses count the same. The Brewers have scored in bunches before too, though. (Ignoring the bullpen abuse.)
  13. It seemed like Braun had a better shot at it to me (if we're talking about the ball fading into LF). I know he probably got called off, but if he was full speed the whole time I think he gets there.
  14. That accidental foul tip on Ryan's AB really cost him - would've been much different with ball 3.
  15. So, was that really Carlos Gomez going the other way (!) or was that Carlos Gomez a hair late on a fastball and putting it in play anyway?
  16. I missed it, what'd he say? There was a point when he said (this was a part of a montage) something to the effect of "We played against the best/teams we thought were the best" (cut to Carlos Gomez scoring to win the NLDS) "and teams who thought they were the best." (cut to Cardinals clinching NLDS). I could've heard it wrong. It's kind of an odd thing to say.
  17. Robin, I love you, but your wardrobe for significant events needs work. EDIT: Did I hear Ryan Braun's narration take a huge dig at the Cardinals in that intro? (I hadn't seen that before, if they've been showing it regularly)
  18. It occurs to me that you can see a lot of core strength there. Being able to bring both legs through after his dive and land in a stable way is what let him get that runner. Probably part of why he can generate a lot of power from an easy stroke.
  19. This lineup is such a huge relief. Amazing how losing even one piece can throw things out of whack. (Despite my desire to have Lucroy and Gamel moved up)
  20. I still strongly dislike the squeeze, but if anyone's going to try it, I don't know that anyone makes me feel more comfortable than Aoki. (Don't even know why, given how little we've seen of him.)
  21. Kemp looked like he had a bad second step. Then sorta gave up. I think he still could've caught it. But, if he dives and misses then Gamel scores for sure, and now there's a decent chance to get out of it.
  22. Tried Tom Glavine and it wasn't able to get it (after 40 questions, at least). Greg Maddux first, then Jim Abbott, then Jamie Moyer. Not bad, generally.
