I was expecting the first pitch to Kotsay to be called a strike.

Right after Kotsay's AB in the top of the 1st, I was cursing that we didn't have a RHP on the mound (not anyone's fault, of course, just happenstance), because I knew the zone wouldn't be the same. It just sucks.

Carp was wayyy off w/ Kotsay. Really gave up on his motion, especially on Ball 3. I'd expect this to be his last inning whether we score or not.

In every other sport, a player who makes a big boneheaded mistake (let alone several in one inning) is flat benched. I don't care that baseball is different because a guy can't come back into the game. Remove Kotsay immediately.
