  1. bklynbrewcrew, do you ever have anything to add besides your hatred of the coaching staff? we get it you don't like them, move on. Have you seen there bullpen lately? I have no problem bringing Mcclung or Spurling in. Who would you have rather had? The great turnbow, or better yet Wise, wait, how about Aquino. I thought it sucked to see thatcher pitch decent against us. Nice trade
  2. oh yeah, my bad. This argument is like the old miller lite, less filling tastes great commercials. neither side is necessarily right and neither side is going to change their mind. I'm just glad we still care this much this late in the year.
  3. Of course they aren't going to quit now, that's not what i was trying to say. I'm saying they could have when they were playing awful in July and August, but they kept plugging away and giving the effort to turn it around, which they have done to a certain extent. quit trying to put words in my mouth. its obvious joey that we do not agree on anything so i'll just leave it be, you have your opinion i have mine. I think they could have layed down when they were playing bad but they didn't and i think ned had a lot to do with it, i'm sure wanting to win helped alot too.
  4. One of the main reasons I still think Ned should still be the manager is the players obviously really like playing for the guy and have shown a tremendous amount of resilience this year when they could have folded. They seem to have a tremendous amount of respect for him and are still going all out. We don't see or know a lot that goes on behind the scenes. The players are still going at it with 100% effort and a lot of that has to do with the respect they have for him. You have to take that into affect, This is an extremely young team and he has shown a ton of respect for them all year, which can only help them grow as players in future years. That can't be discounted. I think many fans are getting worse by the year in their win now or the managers gone mode, when many times teams need years like this to build on, and I think ned, doug and hopefully the owner see the big picture much better than many fans do. You can't determine if it gives us any more wins that the players like playing for and respect ned a ton, but it's got to help.
  5. i don't care if i'm the only one to realize its not the managers fault for last night. do i think it was smart that he hit pujols? no but he was going to get pitched around anyway. its the players fault for stranding so many runners on base last night, and turnbow for not being able to throw a strike with 2 outs. or does ned tell them not to get hits and does he make turnbow suck on purpose?
  6. we're never going to win or help some of the people who think its all the managers fault for anything that happens during the game. so be it. however, there was no way we were going to pitch to pujols anyway, so why not send a message? there lineup is not very good, you would think we could get 2 outs, even with a guy on first. the problem is the bullpen. i know i can't convince people otherwise, but i know that's the problem. we can't depend on wise or turnbow anymore, and that's 2 of the main people in our pen for the first two thirds of the year. that hurts bad, and it puts other players who are A) not as good and B) not used to these situations in them. that is what is killing this team and what killed them last night. not Ned telling mcclung to hit a guy with one out and noone on base.
  7. i'd say it was the wrong time to hit pujo;s by far, but give me a break the guy was probably going to get on base anyway. i'm glad ned stuck up for his players and hit him, maybe it'll send a message to the biggest dink in baseball, Tony LaRussa, that we don't lay down for anyone, and we're not afraid to fight if you purposely hit 2 of our guys on back to back nights. With one guy on base and two outs there should have been no rally like that. blame the loss on who is really at fault, Mr Head Case himself, derrick turnblow. hopefully that is the last we will ever see of him in a brewer uniform. I support all the players and coaches to a fault but this guy is to much of a joke for even me.
  8. ???? I'm at a loss as to where he got that last comment
  9. I also see both sides of the story and don't like some of the moves made by Ned. I would say I am more on the Yay side though. I just really don't like it when fans and idiot talk radio people get all up in arms about every questionable decision he makes. He has way more data at his disposal when he makes in game decisions than we do and even when he does go with his "gut" at times, which one of us have never done that? cut the guy a little slack. for how much myself and every brewer fan on this site wants the brewers to win, I can guarantee you that our manager wants it 1000 times worse than we do. To call for his head and nitpick at every decision to me is unnecessary. I would much rather come up with something constructive to do or just cheer what is one of the most exciting brewer seasons in a long time.
  10. what I don't understand I guess is this: sure some of the decisions Ned has made has cost us a few games, but you cannot say that if we had another manager he would have made decisions to win those games. Also if we had a different manager who is to say that he would not make decisions that lost us evcen more games. Also what about the games where Ned has made good decisions to help win games. Would another manager have made those same decisions. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if we had another manager we could be better, but we could also be much worse, so I'll stick with the decisions he has made and deal with being unhappy about the bad ones and glad about the good ones, and realize its a whole heck of alot more difficult than we think.
  11. just got my 2 tickets as a nine game holder. row 6 in the field bleacher section. anyone ever sat there? how are they?
  12. have fun complaining about the seaon guys, i'm out for good. i'll just enjoy the ride to the end of the season, and let you guys belittle every decision the manager makes. have fun with it guys. most of you would be great to watch games with, some of you it must be awful. over the last couple of years its been great coming to this site for all the insite and intelligent comments, but the first time we get in a pennant race and we should be having the most fun of any season in awhile, this site has become awful. thanks to all the ned haters and second guessers for ruining it.
  13. dude i've probably played and forgot more baseball than you ever will, so i wouldn't go there. i just don't let my dislike for a player or manager cloud my judgement. i have never said i love yost or hate him all i know is he is our manager now and i will support him till he isn't. he's not just guessing out there, he has valid reason for every decision he makes, and you don't know all that goes into it. putting guys on second and third with one out is never a bad idea, especially in a one run game. that's 2 guys in scoring position and one out. whose to say hart and jenkins would have done anything. then you got first and second still and two out. use some sense or have a decent argument to back up the nonsense.
  14. did i miss something. they won yesterday right? and yet your still complaining about decisions. give it up! hart bunting might not have been a popular decisions but if it gets in another run, i'm all for it. now some of you are complaining just for the sake of finding something wrong with ned in every game. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/mad.gif
  15. how would you have felt if braun was still in and made an error that led to runs. then you would have asked why ned didn't pull him for defensive reasons with a three run lead. all this second guessing on this site is making me sick.
  16. totally agree. i think many of the so called 'fans' expect too much. hell we can't win evry game, and every manager makes what we think are bad decisions. little do we know what goes into these decisions. i'm sure ned knows a little bit more about his team than we do. and the decision to replace braun was a good one. every decent team this time of year replaces weaker defensive players with stronger ones, especially with a three run lead. people who pick that for a reason to cry about ned yost have no idea about baseball and should probably just keep their thoughts to themselves.
  17. come on board with me and just enjoy the first seaon in many years that we are in a pennant race during football season. trust me if you can do that it makes watching the games much more fun.
  18. yost is fine. right now no matter what decision he makes, if the player doesn'y perform he'll be blamed for it. i wish all these so called fans would just shut up and enjoy the pennant race.
  19. wow dude, do you like anyone on our team even? are you even a brewers fan?
  20. i'd like to vent that doug melvin gets a free pass around here. nice trade of some really good prospects for two months of the terrible scott linebrink. i realize we needed bullpen help, but i'm not hearing that excuse. to get rid of inman and garrison, two decent starting pitching prospects and a decent lefty bullpen prospect for this ren a player is beyond me. i thought it was too much to give up then and way too much after watching him pitch. Screw doug melvin
  21. plus jenkins is as responsible as yost is for all this rain and flooding lately. when will they make it stop? some people would hate jenkins if he hit 50 home runs while rescuing a cat from a tree and a baby from a burning building.
  22. i've never gotten the argument: "but he hit his home runs in blow outs". so what! you're going to penalize him for having a big game when others didn't. you want him to just give up. what a joke
  23. what in the heck are you talking about hauser? do you watch the games? he's been playing really well lately.
  24. that's another thing that has led me to stay at this place longer than i probably should have. the possibilty of probably taking a decent pay cut to get into a new profession.
