I was one of those who rushed the court last night, and let me tell you, it was amazing. Those of you who watched the game on TV have no idea what it was like being in that building, and the level of excitement the student section (and everyone else) had. You can say whatever you want about the practice, but there is NO substitute for being there, and being in the actual moment. I don't think I've cheered or yelled that much in my life, I'm hoarse today. Beating Duke in itself is a special win, because of the reputation that Duke has. It doesn't hurt that they were the #5 team in the country. #5 is pretty highly ranked IMO and considering we were an unranked team, that's even more special. It allowed the Big Ten to finally capture the Big Ten-ACC challenge and handed Duke their first loss in the event EVER. Chances are we don't face as talented of a team the rest of the season (yes, I know all about Michigan State and Purdue), and we BEAT that team. So please, let us college kids have our fun. We stood outside in the cold for 2 hours, we paid for the tickets. Critics of the on-court celebration were sitting back in their LA-Z-BOY at home, and likely didn't have to move an inch the whole game. State Street after the game was also a great time, I don't think I've went out on a Wednesday night since my freshman year. So again, please let us have our fun.
