  1. Haha, for a second I forgot that Alex Gonzalez's nickname was Sea Bass so I thought you were saying that Bob Gibson sounded like a sea bass. I was also wondering how you knew what a sea bass sounded like.
  2. It's the nature of Redskins fandom to think one piece will suddenly change everything.
  3. Wow, I'm in DC and the local Fox network is doing a "Special Report" and now showing the RGIII news conference. I know he's a good QB and high draft pick but is a press conference really a Breaking News type event? I dunno.
  4. Braun must've had to go to the bathroom. Oh well, can't win 'em all.
  5. The whistling at the beginning of "Young Folks" by Peter Bjorn and John. Actually any song with a whistle has a pretty good shot at being an earworm.
  6. Good thing we decided to not just give up outs there and swung away. Agree, that's why you bunt.
  7. Could Dillard be sent down at Peralta stay up? He certainly hasn't done anything to warrant keeping him around.
  8. I beat it with with Ben Sheets. He was able to guess the Sentinel from the Matrix which I thought was pretty darn impressive.
  9. Was it Shake Shack?
  10. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/20/arts/music/levon-helm-drummer-and-singer-dies-at-71.html?_r=1&pagewanted=all%3Fsrc%3Dtp&smid=fb-share Oh man, what a loss. The Band is still one of my 5 top all-times bands and the movie The Last Waltz is really darn good too. One of my faves...
  11. Look in the top banner where you'd sign-in. There is a chat next to the "Messages"
  12. In a game like this, you leave Gamel in the game. Let the kid play, taking him out does not make our chances to win any better. All it does is shake his confidence when he continuously gets yanked for stupid reasons that our manager creates. I just thought it was a normal double switch? I guess Roenicke could have taken out Gonzalez but I don't see anything to read into him taking out Gamel.
  13. If I somehow get to this point, I will be the proudest drunk around. Then again, if I ever get to this point I will have no idea I got to that point.
  14. The Cards remind me of the Cowboys circa 1994-1995. No matter what the Packers did, the Cowboys seemed to always one up them. Hopefully soon we can turn the tides and whoop on the Cardinals.

  16. Isn't the big amount of the value of the Dodgers tied up in the land value of Chavez Ravine?
  17. The one thing I never understood about heckling someone about wearing their team's jersey is what is supposed to be the outcome of that? Is the guy supposed to suddenly renounce his fandom and pledge allegiance to a new team? I remember going into Shea stadium one year wearing my Brewers jersey and someone yelling why would I want to be a Brewers fan and Brewers suck. But no matter what that dude said I was still going to be a Brewers fan at the end of the day. Dunno.
  18. Sadly, 'leaking' can definitely be used as an art form. Yes I'm cynical in thinking this, but with the collector's name leaked, there sure seems to be a lot more discussion just focusing on him & not MLB, doesn't there? Honestly, though, I think it's a mix of both incompetence & malice. That's a wicked combo. Right, and maybe it's not exactly the same and not trying to get political at all, but look at how the Federal government quickly ferreted out the guy who leaked all that stuff to Wikileaks. It would seem that if MLB cared about leaks they would do everything in their power to find and fire the guy who is letting all this information out. Instead there is a slow drip of info that no one seems to want to stop.
