  1. Seconded and fixed.
  2. In case you care, Robin Yount's daughter is on American Gladiators right now. She's in red.
  3. I don't like the wave so I just don't do it. What cracks me up are the adults that get really excited about the wave, stop paying attention to the game and just stare down the other sections waiting for the wave to come.
  4. The food in Miller Park is delicious. Even though I'll eat a bunch tailgating, I love some cheese fries with stadium sauce over them and a brat or chorizo.
  5. I couldn't keep watching. I started watching Dexter instead because I figured watching people get killed in a show was better than watching the Brewers get killed on the diamond.
  6. You know it's funny, I was at the first Brewers/Cubs series, me a friend of mine and a female friend of his are walking out of one of the bars right next to Wrigley when Ronnie Woo-Woo walks by us, so I don't know what happened, but she says to us as we're walking away, "I think that black guy in the Cubs uniform grabbed my butt." So we turn back around and realize it was Ronnie Woo-Woo and had a good laugh at the fact that Ronnie Woo-Woo could have groped a random person on the street. She wasn't 100% sure that it was Ronnie Woo-Woo and not just one of the 15 or so people standing around him, but just the fact that Ronnie Woo-Woo could have groped someone on the street was kind of funny.
  7. a Red 1992 Dodge Spirit. When ever you stepped on the brakes too hard (or really at all for that matter), the engine would die. It was never fun when it died as I was pulling into my high school's parking lot. It took about a month of this before I convinced my dad to get the engine rebuilt. The car lasted another good 5 years after that before dieing about 4 years ago. It must have had 150,000 or so miles on it before it finally kicked the bucket for good.
  8. Cameron looked real good today. The Chicago media gave him their "player of the game" award.
  9. Wow, I was about to post a thread, but I'll be meeting a friend of mine in Houston and going to the Saturday game. I figure there has to be something going on, it's Cinco de Mayo weekend in Texas. Call me ignorant, but I'd imagine it's kind of a big deal.
  10. If you want to eat cheap, just east of the ball park is a pizza place called Bacci's. You can get a huge slice of pizza that's not too bad for cheap. You really don't want to eat anything at Wrigley. If you get there really early, there's a place on Clark and Roscoe, south of the ballpark called the Pick Me Up. It's a kind of yuppie sandwich place, but it's really good.
  11. There was Manon Rheaume who played a couple exhibition games back in the 90s. I could see a football kicker being a woman, there was already Katie Hnida at Colorado. I don't think it's too surprising that theres decent female car racers. It's like being a good female bowler or a good female billiards player or good female golfer. There's not a ton of brute strength involved, so the women have just as much of a chance as the men. Maybe golf a little less than the other things, but for finesse positions, I can see a woman being able to play along side men. I'd imagine though with enough training a woman could probably play any position on the baseball diamond.
  12. I like to make baked burrito/enchilada things. You take one of those huge tortillas, and put refried beans and jalapeño peppers on it, then put browned ground beef made with taco seasoning on that, then sautee green pepper and onions in the same pan you made the beef in, then wrap the whole thing up like a burrito, but you put it in a pan, cover it in enchilada sauce and let it cook for a while. Then you take it out and grate cheddar cheese over the top, put it back in the oven and melt the cheese. It's probably horrible for you, but really delicious. Chicken soup is another really easy meal to make.
  13. I don't think the Brewers should send Stetter or Parra down. There's so few left handed pitchers on the staff, it might not be a good idea to send a left hander down.
  14. Base Wars. One of the best baseball games ever made.
  15. One day at work I was sorting leads for sales people and I came up with one from Mexico where the guy's name was listed as Assman Ortiz. I thought it was a fake, but I sent it to the sales person anyway and it turns out the guy's name really was Assman Ortiz. I hope he's a proctologist in his spare time.
  16. The second one wasn't bad, but when they tried the double steal, he was out by 5 feet or so. It was really ugly. I didn't see it coming at all, I'd never thought of him as a speed guy.
  17. The guys running out on the field was kind of a trip. I heard that they both get at least $1,200 fines for that. The guys sitting behind me were saying that they were thinking about doing it if the fine was only around $500 because they could get their buddies to help them with the fine. Ahhh to be young and dumb again. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif I wasn't really on the Gagne bandwagon. I've said before that the Brewers must really not like having $10 million when they signed Gagne. Then he blew the save in Chicago, but when I saw him today I jumped on the bandwagon. Even got myself one of them jersey shirts with his name on the back. But what was up with the Giants today. It looked like their triple A team's bus took a wrong turn in Albuquerque and somehow they wound up in Milwaukee. And I have to totally agree with you hawning. There's just something awesome about the season starting. After this awful winter, it's nice to pretend it's the summer, even if it's not yet.
  18. Maybe I just don't get it because I never have seen him be much of a threat, but I saw Bill Hall try to take 2 bases today. Is this something new or am I missing something?
  19. Eh, you have to figure the power raiting capsules were probably written by some intern. But I have to agree, ESPN is mostly garbage for non Boston/New York Yankees coverage.
  20. It was absolutly gorgeous outside today at the game. I was so bummed out they didn't open the roof.
  21. I don't mind either way. I just have a rule that I don't wear a coat to a baseball game. Baseball = summertime in my opinion. And yes I was shivering like crazy on Wednesday at Wrigley.
  22. I have 1 ticket available for Saturday's game, it's section 126, row 11. Due to a bunch of people bailing on me, I only have this 1 seat available. If you want the ticket, send me a PM before about 9:30AM central time on saturday. I'll be up for a little longer today, so if you PM me in the next 30 minutes or so (3AM central time) I should see it. You'll have to meet me at the game because I have the tickets on will call. Edit: Oh, I want $30 for the ticket.
  23. I'll be at the game on Wednesday. Looking forward to catching harassment from drunken Cubs fans.
  24. I kind of hate Dave Bush after last year too. At least when it comes to Fantasy baseball. I spent the first half of the year trying to trade him for anything I could get and got nothing, even from a guy in my league who was 3 quarters of a way through a case of beer.
  25. Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches - You find me a food that can be made faster, cheaper and more deliciously with more variety. I've gotta agree with BoneDaddyKool on this one too and say minor league sports - Sure pro sports are faster and the players are better, but one of the best times I ever had was at a Short Season Low A Baltimore Orioles affiliate's game (Aberdeen Ironbirds). Plus you can get in for like $10 and the ushers almost never care if you move down to a good seat. And if you go enough you get all indy rock on people and brag about how you were watching a star before he was a star 4 strikes in a row in bowling - Even if you're a really great bowler, 4 strikes in a row still feels really cool to do. British beer - Sure Milwaukee, Ireland, and Germany get all the press, but there are some delicious British beers out there.
