  1. This game reminded me so much of this line posted in the "rarest thing" thread Bobby Witt 5IP 0H 2R 2ER 8BB 10K
  2. You can get one (or two) questions answered and know the absolute truth involving sports, what are you asking? 1 question that there is an answer too, 1 questions to a hypothetical question, but you would get the truth. I thought up this question without really wanting one answered, but, my first thoughts - How much fixing/controlling/meddling does David Stern actually do in the NBA? - Would the the Packers have beaten the Patriots if they played in Super Bowl 42?
  3. Great call on the Dragonforce, they are a total guilty pleasure I was at a wedding and the grand march was "Walk" by Pantera
  4. This one takes the cake. Did you realize it when it happened? Also, I know it's happened 3 times, no one was at a Brewers game where they left no runners on base? Sorry I don't have dates. The Bobby Witt pitching line could be the greatest pitching line I have ever seen... 5IP 0H 2R 2ER 8BB 10K I am thinking about flying to Florida to see Arizona get franchise win #1000!
  5. Walking to the plate -- The first 17 seconds of "Sinister Rouge" by Bad Religion Entering as a pitcher -- Maybe "Enemy" by Sevendust... (might need to be cleaned up a little though, haha) NSFW lyrics
  6. Wow, thats pretty cool. 1 of 42! Sheets did it too, 6/13/04
  7. I've been digging around and looking at a lot of stats and such lately, also pondering that not much was said about Manny Parra's 4 strike out inning despite it being 5 times more rare as a no hitter. I've compiled a short list of things I have seen in person and approx. how rare. 09/14/08 Zambrano No Hitter: 1 of roughly 270 No Hitters 09/28/08 09/25/08 Braun Walk Off Grand Slam: 1 or roughly 170 since 1950 04/04/07 Jeff Suppan 3 pitch Inning: 1 of roughly 170 in MLB history 04/22/06 Brewers 5 HR inning: 1 of 5 times in MLB history 05/20/10 Home plate umpire leaves with concussion: ???? *edit* 06/15/07 (from Vjmastr, I was also there) I saw Brian Shouse pitch three perfect innings to get a save in a blowout in Minnesota. A LOOGY getting a three inning save has to be pretty rare. Also in that game, Johnny Estrada actually threw out a baserunner trying to steal, which was rare in itself.
  8. Saw retro "BRWRZ" plate in Stallis
  9. Is most of this excitement and happiness sarcasm? I can't really look at this as anything more of a reminder of how long it took do this.
  10. Arby's doesn't seem to put ice in your drink at 2am. Don't know how to feel on the matter.
  11. I am crushed. I have a huge melon and and extra Aaron. Was going to trade pretty much no matter what the hat was, but, it's the exact hat I bought a scant 3 weeks ago. Most comfortable hat I own too.
  12. Craig Counsell/High Life: You have seen it everywhere, it's unchanged, your old man likes it too
  13. Not a baseball player (at least not famous for it if he ever did play) The picture was taken in 1938
  14. Not a surgeon. I just did a search for "Fred Miller" -- Bad job by me!
  15. Good guess, but this is Freedy http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/bym/img/apr05/miller.two0410_big.jpg
  16. http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/d1d25bf9e48ac24e683a28747bd3ac5ba4fc4ff.jpg Involved with 2 things most of us love.
  17. Man, should have posted this earlier than 5 hours before I leave. One day in Pittsburgh (Crew@Pitt Thursday/Macha's farewell game) and Reds@Tribe (Saturday) Family in between. Want to hit the Warhol museum in Pitt. Any recommendations what else to do, but, only take an hour or so? Anyone been to the museum? Where to eat? I don't want the sandwich with fries on it. Same goes for Cleveland, seen the R&R HOF, so, a more open afternoon before baseball. Any thoughts would be great. Side question... wearing a Brewers hat to the game on Sunday, and feel completely in the right to do it. I would never go full shirt/jersey/hat to a "neutral" game, but feel a hat is appropriate. Your thoughts?
  18. Winner! Jim Bintliff who collects/sells Lena Blackburne Baseball Rubbing Mud It was an original screen capture from this news story, which may be why the reverse image search didn't work. http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/10/28/baseball.mud/
  19. On the right track, but no. The company/product has been around and used for 75+ years in the MLB.
  20. XL for sure, probably a L, and then an unknown 3rd size. Other stuff on the rack too, JaMarcus Russel jersey anyone? Hall? Hardy? I did not check prices on those.
  21. I was just at Fan Fair at Southridge, they have 2 or 3 Red Braun All Star jerseys on the "discount" rack to the left of the register. They are marked down to $75. I am not sure what the going rate ever was, but that seems like a good price. I cannot bring myself to wear a red Braun jersey though.
  22. Every baseball team is a customer.
  23. Been 2 days, should I give more clues? You all want to start asking questions?
