  1. Only one?? Whats you favorite mixer with it? I like a Citrus and Honey Press Also, if you are ever really hard up for some, you can buy and ship Rehorst products (or almost anything else) from www.binnys.com
  2. I adore this years Pumpkin Spirit (whiskey), it is so unique and delicious.
  3. Any of the fine spirits from Great Lakes Distillery made right here in Milwaukee at 6th and Virginia: Rehorst Gin Rehorst Vodka Rehorst Citrus and Honey Vodka Roaring Dan's Rum Seasonal Pumpkin Spirit Kirschwasser (Cherry Brandy) Grappa (Grape Brandy) Absinthe (Green) Absinthe (Red) Everything but the Absinthe has Wisconsin ingredients in them, and they are all great. If you didn't have a chance to try it when you lived here, now is a great chance.
  4. I just want a simple bar tending job and it seems darn near impossible - i feel your pain (to a much lesser degree)
  5. Good topic... Lots of little crap off the radio, a few CDs, concert tickets, movie passes, nothing too fancy. I won a Super Bowl t shirt from Doritios (?) once, it came in April and was the cheapest material I have ever seen a shirt made of. The best prize ever was when I "won" a bottle of scotch by helping them get 100 more fans on facebook. Every year I buy a $100 entry to win Jeff Gordan's corvette. They only sell 5,000 tickets and it goes to a charity, I really would like to win that some day. *edit* I was just thinking the other day how funny it would be if McDonalds changed the "rare" piece to Park Place one year, and made Boardwalk to the common one. Maybe too many people would poo their pants though.

  8. I tweeked this to what you should have said. I wouldn't hold your breath on any promise from Weigel broadcasting (owners of CBS58, WMLW41, and Telemundo63). I wasted five years of life working there based on promises of improvement and upgrades. Let's not forget this is the station that went dark during UWM's first trip to the NCAA tournament, had a $250,000 live truck fall thru ice on a frozen lake, uses stadium cameras for Telemundo Brewers games, and countless other braodcasting attrocities. As for: "A piece of equipment failed at our transmitter causing the video to go dark." [/i] I would love to know what 'piece of equipment' fails in such a way that video only goes dark but nothing else is affected.
  9. White Manny Parra Authentic Jersey - autographed on number - from the Brewers w/ some sort of COA (hologram?) haven't seen it in person Whats this worth in the open market?
  10. This is about want, not what you think will happen. Keep it within reason I suppose, we all WANT to the Brewers to win 38 in row, but that ain't happenin' NL East - Phillies NL Central - Reds NL West - Padres WC - Giants Reds over Padres Phillies over Giants Phillies over Reds AL East - Rays AL Central - White Sox AL West - Rangers WC - Yankees Rays over Rangers White Sox over Yankees Rays over White Sox Rays over Phillies in WS rematch Most of my picks are based on (rational or irrational) dislike for certain teams or keeping teams with a worse post-season record than the Brewers in that position (The Rangers have won 1 playoff game, ever). Anytime the White Sox are doing better than the Cubs it makes me happy, and I could go 50 years without seeing the Cards in the playoffs again.
  11. 08/21/10 Matt Stairs sets mark for most career pinch-hit HR - The ball landed about 10 rows from me. I would wager less than 50 people realized what had just happened.
  12. Local H: Pack Up the Cats http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/bb/LocalHPackUpTheCats.jpg
  13. I recommend Organ Piper Pizza on Hwy 100
  14. Oh man! That stuff is the BEST! But, its a very specific taste and very acquired, and can see why people wouldn't be all about having never had it. That further makes me think the Redbreast 12 would really be the route to go.
  15. I don't think there is enough virtual ink for me to write out all my thoughts, haha. I would recommend Highland Park 18 for around $100. It's got a little bit of everything in flavor, little sweet, little earth, little smoke. I find the 18 too smooth, and like the 12 better (good for me since it's cheaper!) but 18 definitely fits the bill for a special occasion. Doesn't have the "holy crap thats a special bottle" look or name recognition though. Johnnie Walker gold could be good too, sort of that "wow" factor for non-scotch drinker, even thought it's not that special in my opinion. Lagavulin is regarded as the best Islay, and well worth the money for the 16 year, if you like smokey Islays. If you want to go the Irish Whiskey route, you have to try Redbreast 12, it is FANTASTIC, and will be much more appreciated by a wider range of people. The more I think about it... you might be best off buying this unless you have a lot of scotch drinkers in the group. http://www.binnys.com/images/spiritslabels/139751L.jpg
  16. Yikes. Well, I wish the Highland 30 was only $80, and, what did you get? Were you not scotch drinkers already? Any of it left??? jjk - What is your budget on scotch? Have something in mind? Need a recommendation?
  17. 57 times. Haha. But out of 4,340 batters faced, that is pretty rare.
  18. I think #1 and #2 might be more trouble then its worth, when a better time can be had renting a cabin, and watching those games. So, my vote is renting the cabin. I also strongly recommend, buying scotch older than you and enjoying. I plan on buying this little lovely: http://www.binnys.com/images/spiritslabels/162451L.jpg for my 30th. Highland Park 30 year. I think being alive 30 years deserves a reward such as this. 30 is a common age variety on Scotch, so there is plenty to chose from, but I would expect the Highland Park to be fantastic.

  20. The most amazing thing being that they are 13 games under .500 over 19,999 games I started a small page on Facebook that just posts stats and facts from time to time, and this Braves one is one of my favorites. If anyone cares to follow this link should work: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Ross-Salchows-Stat-Machine/122845551061040?ref=ts Other favorites I have posted below, some might be slightly changed since their posted date. 7/31 - The Orioles are more games back (33.5) than games won (32) 7/28 - Dave Bush has more quality starts than Ted Lilly, Dan Haren, and Yovani Gallardo. 7/28 - Ryan Braun has hit 17% of ALL the home runs Tommy Hanson has given up. 7/27 - Stan Musial had 3,630 career hits. 1,815 at home, 1,815 on the road. 7/22 - In 1947 The Chicago Cubs had 19 minor league affiliates. 10 were named "The Cubs" 7/12 - 4 pitchers this season have pitched 9 full shut out innings and gotten a no decision. They are Roy Halladay, Travis Wood, Edwin Jackson, and Colby Lewis. 7/10 - No MLB team formed after 1901 has a lifetime winning record. 6/23 - The Arizona Diamondbacks are the only team that has played a full 162 games each year of their franchise. 6/14 - Daniel Nava become the 2nd player EVER to hit a Grand Slam on the very first pitch he saw in the majors. 6/11 - Jeff Suppan got $1,517,241.30 for each win he got in Milwaukee. 6/9 - The Clevland Indians went 44-29 AFTER trading CC Sabathina in 2008 - the Brewers went 40-32 WITH CC Sabathia. 5/28 - Willie Mays is the only player in MLB history to have hit at least one home run in every inning, 1st thru 16th. (No, not all in one game) What are your favorite oddball stats?
  21. If I remember correctly... To get 2008 playoffs tickets you could buy (at minimum) a 20 pack for 2009 to guarantee seats, I am sure this added to a chunk of 2009 sales, which was not present this season.
  22. I would tweek that to "Google didn't save us"
  23. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs106.ash2/38655_1505819536065_1551593334_31273671_6728922_n.jpg Made this tonight, wish it tasted as good as it looked, haha.
  24. Ah, hate to double post, but, wanted to touch on few more things. Maker's Mark and Jameson couldn't be more different, we don't have Maker's right now, and I am lobbying to get it (or Buffalo Trace, Woodford, or Knob Creek) We had Guinness and no one (literally no one) drank it, the bar tenders ended up drinking it all. We have most of what was talked about, need to work on getting some Leinie's in there, but Peroni and Moretti take up cooler space, which is fine. We have Lite, MGD, Bud Light, Spotted Cow, and Hacker Pschorr on tap. The Hacker doesn't really move, would love to put Riverwest Stein in.
  25. The lack of Coors has nothing to do with the merger, it's because no one is fighting for Coors to be in bars any more. There used to be 3 beer distributors in town, with the 'main' beer of each being Miller, Budweiser, and Coors. The place that had to push and fight to get Coors into bars, bought out the Miller place. Therefore, they have no reason to really try to get Coors in anywhere anymore, they aren't fighting for taps or cooler space. I very much enjoy Coors Banquet too, and NEVER see that. -- Same with Molson, no one is fighting to put it in anywhere. It's becoming hard to drink PBR cheap - It has gotten too popular again, and, places are charging more because of it. We have a lot of wine, I know nothing about wine, so I didn't touch on it. I forgot rum, haha. I expect to see Malibu, Captains, and Bacardi. Korbel Brandy might be the most expected, forgot about that one.
