My sister and brother in law are at MP tonight as guests of Larry Hisle's so they got to go in early for BP and they said Segura showed some serious pop. So excited for this kid! Tear it up Jean!!

He was on first base, and Gomez hit a fly ball to deep right center. He just took off running and the ball ended up being caught, and he easily got doubled off. He was almost at third when it was caught. Thanks PEM. Seems like he has done a lot of that stuff this year. It sure gets frustrating. Let's go Mr Fiers!

Very glad to see Jordyn Weiber earn a gold medal with her gymnastics teammates after being excluded from the all around finals due to the RIDICULOUS "top 2 scores from each country" rule. What a joke that rule is. Good to see her smiling yesterday though!

It seems like some people assume that Hardy is putting up good numbers without actually looking at his stats. Count me in for playing Gomez every day to see how he responds these final 2 months.

He threw it quite a bit last hear and IMO it was the difference maker. I think I've seen him throw about 3 all this year. Just weird

They show up on the roster on the Huntsville website, but without numbers. Is that why they aren't considered to be officially on the roster yet? Also note that their statuses are "Reassigned", as opposed to "Active" Right you are...missed that. Thanks. Guess I'll have to wait til opening day 2013 to see Mr. Segura in person

Because he is forced to advance to 2nd there. In your analogy of trying to stretch a single into a double, he is awarded a single because he reaches 1st base safely but then chooses to try to to stretch it to a double. He is not forced to advance to 2nd.
