  1. Haha its my pleasure. REALLY hope to see Segura before the game is over. Obispo for the Wahoos throws gas. Hit 97 in the 2nd. Hunter's bomb off him was a sweet stroke. Nelson sat around 91 but registered a few 93's and one 94.
  2. It was a sinking liner that the LF came in and trapped and apparently the only person in the stadium that didn't see it was a trap was Kh Davis so he was running back to 1st instead of advancing so they forced him out at 2nd
  3. No Segura in the starting line up not sure if those guys are even here yet.
  4. Not really much to share from last night's game. Obviously Anundsen didn't pitch overly well. Scooter had a nice game and it was great to see Kh Davis hit another HR. We didn't have tickets to tonight's game (its sold out), but we were lucky enough to score some great seats through the Wahoos season ticket holder ticket share program in hopes of seeing some of our new talent! I keep checking the starting pitchers, but the Stars still have it listed as TBD. Really hoping Segura starts (assuming he has arrived). I'll be sure to post any observations I have...hopefully we are lucky and get to see Segura and/or Pena/Hellweg.
  5. Not seeing this anywhere. [sarcasm]Sounds like another done deal.[/sarcasm] You should see it shortly. My source is pretty reliable. Not trying to create a frenzy. Just passing on what I heard from someone that would know.
  6. Greinke is an Angel is what I'm hearing. I imagine it will be announced shortly. No idea on the return...
  7. Our seats were actually in the 2nd row right next to/behind the Brewers bullpen (which is down the 3rd baseline there) and when he was warming up you could tell how good his stuff was. He was really popping the mitt even in the pen. His first pitch when he came in was 94. The Wahoos fans were riding him pretty good while he was warming up...obviously it was lost on them that Byrd is a native son of Pensacola . He has a very live arm
  8. I was at the Stars game in Pensacola last night (down here visiting a buddy), a few observations... - the Wahoos stadium is very nice. Great back drop with the ocean right there - I cannot overstate how good Kentrail Davis's arm is. It is UNBELIEVABLE! -Stinson and Byrd were both impressive. Byrd was hitting 95 on the stadium gun and has a nice smooth delivery to go along with a good frame. - It was nice to see Kintzler get the save. Really hope he can make it all the way back. Going again tonight, so hopefully I will have some more tidbits...
  9. Don't know much about Sardinas, but Venezuelan SS's have a long history of being supreme defenders. I like this idea because I'm not very confident we land Profar
  10. What an awful call at 2nd. Are these throws really coming from MLB players? Pathetic.
  11. That was my guess too. The black cherry flavor was awesome. Although in my experience they came in short glass bottles, not plastic...
  12. I never said he did. Wow, totally missed that. My bad. This was probably 10 years ago, but I ate at a really good Italian restaurant in Denver right by Coors Field called Il Fornaio. I would recommend it, but I'm not completely sure its still there just due it being 10 years since my visit.
  13. He didn't kill himself.
  14. why are we counting Narveson out? he had rotator-cuff surgery, which from my understanding, isnt career ending at all. he was a pretty effective #4/5 guy last season, I dont see why he wouldnt factor in to the team moving forward, especially with 2 more years of control. A rotation of Greinke/Gallardo/Narveson/Fiers/Estrada would be decent, as thats what we've had here for the last month as it is. He had surgery on his rotator cuff AND his labrum, which often times is not a very successful surgery. Not to mention, this is his second surgery on that shoulder in addition to Tommy John surgery on his elbow. I would say you'd be hard pressed to "count on" Narveson for next year. If you do get something productive, it should probably be considered gravy. As far as Greinke goes, if that offer isn't enough to keep him somewhere that he is obviously comfortable and pitches well, I see ya later. I'm a huge Greinke fan, but if all this is true I will sour towards him somewhat. I get so sick of the greed (if that is the case.)
  15. Did he struggle catching it? Ueck didn't paint a very clear picture on that game ending play...
  16. How far foul was the ball Gomez hit? Ueck sure had us going for a minute there...
  17. I'm not sure any 3rd baseman in baseball gets an out on the Furcal play if positioned where Ramirez was. He's actually been adequate defensively this year IMO
