  1. Not to beat dead horse here, but another main point about the ejection is its not a position player getting tossed here, its the starting pitcher getting tossed after the 2nd batter!! It's just not something you ever see, mainly because starting pitchers are usually allowed some leeway, unless its arguing balls and strikes. I REALLY hope Holbrook is reprimanded for this, as he should be.
  2. No, it was clear that his frustration was with himself the second he got caught being a spectator and got over to 1st late to cover on what was a nice play. Have you EVER seen Greinke show really any emotion toward an ump what so ever?? Again, he never looked at Holbrook. Never said a word to him. It was a complete joke of an ejection and pretty much everyone knows it...and I'm betting that includes even Holbrook at this point.
  3. I could not disagree more. It was obvious Greinke was mad at himself. That ejection was an absolute joke.
  4. Greinke was clearly just frustrated with himself for getting over late to cover on a great play by Hart. This is beyond ridiculous. When he threw the ball down his back was to the ump. He never looked at the ump. He never said a word to him. This is inexcusable. Holbrook should be fired tonight!!
  5. It's the bullpen that is by far the weakest link of this team, so if they were looking for a scapegoat, Stan Kyles would make the most sense. The rotation has been pretty solid.
  6. I said the same thing to the fiance after that last one. Maybe he should get on whatever Braunie is on. LOL! Yeah apparently Braun found even better PEDs this year . Guess Rami needs some Chicago style wind to get more over the fence at MP.
  7. Shoot just missed it! I love how he gets ahead in the count and just sits on a pitch
  8. Maybe with Johnson starting for the Marlins tomorrow, another righty, RR wanted to alternate center field duties for consecutive day games with oppressive heat indeces, especially with Morgan playing the past 2 games without an off day. Lots of lefty starters coming up before the break, so Gomez's day off is probably tomorrow. I think it has more to do with playing conditions and preventing fatigue than anything - on paper Gomez shouldn't be playing in front of Morgan when comparing careers against RHP, but there are other factors that aren't taken into account that managers need to weigh. And as I write this, Gomez gets thrown out at 3rd with no outs....never mind! I don't disagree with your point, but if he wants to give guys a chance to rest why not do Green at 1B, Aoki in CF and Hart in RF? Green obviously hasn't been lighting the world on fire, but he's also been getting 3-4 AB's a week the last couple weeks it seems. I see your point, and this really has nothing to do with the current Gomez/Morgan discussion, but Aoki is simply not a MLB caliber CF. At all. But neither was Kotsay last year
  9. This^. Anyone that said Ramirez was going to be equal to or worse than McGehee defensively is off their rocker.
  10. If they still have the two knobs that used to yell, "His name is Dan Uggla!" I wouldn't put much stock into their intel
  11. Maldy is one helluva bunter. RRR must have a huge man crush on him
  12. So he tried to stretch a single into a double that had no business being anythimg more than a single?
  13. Would someone kindly describe the Morgan play...I missed it.
