Alberts would have been a much better choice. Eichorst had the reputation at UWW of going through the motions, being disrespectful (and did not value) colleagues, and someone who was not invested in the organization. Paul Plinske (who followed) oversaw the emergence of the UWW powerhouse football, baseball, and women’s basketball programs. Probably not coincidence this happened after Eichorst left

Barf! This guy was a complete jag at UW-Whitewater. I had friends working on the sports information team in the athletics department during his tenure and it was universally celebrated when he left. not sure it was possible to do worse than MAC, but this clueless hire may qualify. -
Gasser 3 IP 12 Runs 18 hits 9 walks when I compliment Gasser/Sproat, they start to implode. When I predict disaster, they give us 6 innings of 1 run ball with our offense though…

Agreed. 6 man rotation for now is common sense. I’m still angry with Pancakes for letting him throw 107 in a meaningless game.

I missed the game last night, but woke up, checked the box score, and after seeing the brewers won, I saw Miz threw 107 pitches. *** Murphy… zero reason for him to throw over 100 in a meaningless regular season game at the start of our 18 in 17 stretch no less…. Better get him an extra day off now somehow.

The president seems to be getting no frustrated that the price of oil has now fallen to pre-war levels (sub $70 a barrel) but gas prices remain elevated. i figure this is the usual run up to the 4th before prices annually fall in late summer along with a backlog of oil that needs to be refined? Then again, since US based production was uninterrupted, I guess there would be less to backlog here to resolve. assuming the peace holds and oil remains at sub $70 levels into the fall, I wonder how many months it will take for gas prices to fall enough to bring inflation back under $3

I think the goal the next 3-5 years (until we have our own picks back) is probably to develop some young/exciting supporting cast players who can keep the fan base engaged and be ready to support an eventual top end player. Short of a Giannis type “diamond in the rough” drafting of a player, it’s going to be tough to get a top end player without a top 3-5 pick though (it always is/was) I think casual fans don’t realize how rare it was to find a superstar that engaged & committed to Milwaukee -

No way do I want to trade Henderson. In my eyes he’s much more valuable than Sproat and has had more success thus far. i also don’t think Fischer has a position in the field and strikes out a ton, making him less valuable to me. made, Pena, Payne, Adamczewski. letson, Lara probably my 5-6 untouchables. The more I think about it, i don’t think I’d trade Sproat right now though in that I don’t think he’s be viewed as that valuable from other clubs. Right now he’s probably a decent 3rd piece in a trade for someone like Skubal, so why sell low. maybe Fischer, Jett, Gasser in a trade for Skubal? not trying to hate on the guy, just feels like Fischer is our most expendable piece at the moment in terms of how he might be Valued by other clubs, his likelihood to stick here. if Pratt, Lara, and Made make it to the bigs in the next year and Hamilton remains steady, Jett might be the second most expendable. then you give a club a choice of Gasser, Crow, or Hall?

I’m not sure what your point/suggestion is? I agree that Henderson (when back from injury), and Gasser/Crow/Sproat/Drohan are likely to give us shorter starts, but realistically if Miz/Woody/Harrison can stay healthy, we only need 2 of those guys in a 5 man rotation. The others would be in the 8 man pen. unless your point is that it would be good to trade for another starter who can give us more length?

Ugh? haslip. Was Justin Harrell (major packers bust) who was injured a ton in college also a Tennessee guy? i pretty much dislike any athlete who has ever attended UT
